Bank of America has an interesting report on who’s living paycheck to paycheck (PTP). It’s not just the poor. Blame the Fed.
What Does It Mean?
The term ‘living paycheck to paycheck’ is a fairly frequently heard expression but can be somewhat nebulous and is not always clearly defined. Broadly, one can imagine it refers to individuals or households that regularly spend nearly all of their income, leaving little to nothing left over for savings.
By that widely used definition, over 40 percent of respondents agreed or somewhat agreed to living PTP.

Judge Orders Rudy Giuliani to Surrender Manhattan Penthouse and Other Property

A federal judge has ordered former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani to hand over a significant amount of personal property to be placed in receivership. The judge has given Giuliani seven days to comply.
The order includes the former mayor’s Manhattan penthouse apartment, along with several luxury items and jewelry. The receivership determination comes as Georgia election workers Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss have sought to collect on the $148 million defamation judgment they won against Giuliani.

U.S. Ramps Up Screening Measures For Marburg Virus

The United States has ramped up its screening measures for the deadly Marburg virus, as Rwanda is adamant that the outbreak is getting under control. “The risk of Marburg in the U.S. remains low, however, these measures are being taken out of an abundance of caution given the ongoing outbreak in Rwanda,” Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) spokesperson David Daigle said as the measures were announced back on October 7th.
Rwanda is still fighting its first outbreak of the Marburg virus, which is a cousin to the Ebola virus. Marburg is one of the deadliest viruses known to humans, with a fatality rate of about 88%. According to Rwandan Health Minister Dr. Sabin Nsanzimana, there have been 62 cases of Marburg confirmed in Rwanda, with 38 recoveries and 15 deaths.
