The “Digital Police Officer” or “D-PO” is presented as a visionary concept, but the proposal reads like a pitch for the most dystopian buddy cop movie ever.

Two new studies — one about thyroid eye disease and one about encephalitis — highlighted negative health outcomes associated with COVID-19 vaccination, and a third study suggested the COVID-19 vaccine provided only 15% protection against the risk of “long COVID.”
Taken together, the studies highlight the fact that COVID-19 vaccines are associated with serious risks for some, while their protective benefit has been overestimated.

Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky is calling for NATO to launch “preemptive strikes” on Russia “so that they know what awaits them if they use nuclear weapons.”
“Preemptive strikes are needed so that they know what awaits them if they use nuclear weapons,” Zelensky told the Lowy Institute on Thursday according to a translation from Interfax. “Not the other way around, waiting for Russia’s nuclear strikes and then saying, ‘oh, you’ve done that, then get this.'”

Blasting BlackRock’s promotion of green energy as an economy killer, Louisiana Treasurer John Schroder informed CEO Larry Fink that the state planned to liquidate the company’s investments and divest nearly $800 million from its money market, mutual and exchange-traded funds.
“Your blatantly anti-fossil fuel policies would destroy Louisiana’s economy,” Schroder wrote to Fink in the letter first obtained by FOX Business.

CBS Evening News ran a report Wednesday lamenting the fact that various controversial LGBTQ themed books have been removed from a school library in Jamestown, Michigan after parents complained that the material was pornographic.
The piece framed the development, which is occurring in schools nationwide, in the context of a “sharp rise in book bans in America’s schools and libraries”.
