Some banks are discussing the idea of again encouraging the work-from-home policies from previous Covid lockdowns or using offsite locations, representatives of the trade association UK Finance, coordinating the talks, told Bloomberg.

Earlier this week Cordon-Ragot dropped out of France’s elite women’s squad for the upcoming UCI road world championships simply citing medical reasons, but she has now confirmed that she was diagnosed after an MRI scan confirmed the fears of the French team’s medical staff.

In short, dumbing down is the deliberate oversimplification of intellectual content in education, literature, cinema, news, video games, and culture.

One minute after 1pm, the Treasury announced results from today’s sale of $43 billion in 2Y paper, which were nothing short of disastrous. The high yield – already the highest in 15 years – was almost a full percent, or 98bps, above August’s 3.307%, and stopping at a high yield of 4.290%, the auction tailed the When Issued 4.274% by 1.6bps, the biggest tail going back to feb 2020 when the bond market was similarly paralyzed, but back then it was due to covid.

Europe is facing lower-than-expected economic growth as inflation continues to climb, European Central Bank chief Christine Lagarde revealed on Monday, explaining that the ECB had raised interest rates by 75 basis points in an attempt to control soaring prices.

Former U.S. intelligence contractor Edward Snowden has received Russian citizenship on the order of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Putin signed the order granting Snowden, who has lived in Moscow since 2013 evading U.S. authorities, Russian citizenship on Monday, according to Reuters. Snowden previously received permanent residency to live in Russia in October 2020.
