Shelter costs have continued to rise in the US. Recent data provided by Redfin shows that the national average increased by 11% YoY this August. Costs are expected to decline as people simply cannot afford to pay more. Additionally, the supply is expected to increase as there are around a million rental units under construction. Yet, construction has been slow due to supply chain shortages mixed and inflation.

Doubles are long gone. Mortgage rates are 250 percent of what they were at the start of 2021.
Mortgage Rates Are Now Over 7%, But It’s Complicated
Mortgage News Daily reports Yes, Mortgage Rates Are Now Over 7%, But It’s Complicated
For our purposes today, we’re mainly focused on the presence of points and, to a lesser extent, the variations between lenders. As always, any rate you see in a major rate index or survey will assume essentially no “hits” (no upward adjustments to the rate or the upfront costs due to the particulars of your scenario).

President Joe Biden will host his first state visit at the White House for French President Emmanuel Macron on December 1, the White House confirmed, marking the return of a tradition not seen since before the Covid-19 pandemic.
A friend on Twitter sent me this story earlier today, about Emmanuel Macron being chosen to take part in the very first State dinner of the pretend president Joe Biden White House, and said to me something startling. He said that Macron is treated like ‘they all know’ who he really is. Think about it, Macron is the first stop when the most powerful man in the Middle East, Mohamed bin Zayed, began his new position as president of the UAE, Macron is treated more favorably by Pope Francis than anyone else. It really is like they all know who he is.

The student loan forgiveness program recently announced by President Joe Biden stirred up quite the political brouhaha. Progressives praised Biden for helping students burdened by overwhelming student loan debt. Conservatives decried it as an unfair giveaway. But as with most issues, the popular political debate misses the bigger picture.

Sweden reported detecting explosions early Monday morning and Monday evening, with the morning one registering 1.9 on the Richter scale and the evening explosion 2.3.

On Monday’s broadcast of FNC’s “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” host Tucker Carlson reacted to Giorgia Meloni’s Italian election win earlier in the week.
Meloni’s win has been panned by the media, who have claimed it rivals that of 20th-century Italian dictator Benito Mussolini.

An analysis of official data reveals that a record number of New York residents changed their driver’s licenses to Florida last month.
According to the New York Post, a total of 5,838 New Yorkers made the switch in August – the second-highest number for a single month in recorded history – and which makes for a year-to-date figure of 41,885 New Yorkers who have abandoned their northern licenses after moving south – a pace which points to a new annual record.

Mainstream media propagandists are “sounding the alarm” of rising cases of COVID-19 in the United Kingdom. The state worshipping media outlet claims that rising cases in the U.K. are a “warning” to the United States.
“Generally, what happens in the UK is reflected about a month later in the US. I think this is what I’ve sort of been seeing,” said Dr. Tim Spector, professor of genetic epidemiology at Kings College London.
Spector runs the Zoe Health Study, which uses an app to let people in the UK and USreport their daily symptoms. If they start to feel bad, they take a home Covid-19 test and record those results. He says that about 500,000 people are currently logging their symptoms every day to help track trends in the pandemic.
Spector says the study, which has been running since the days of the first lockdown in England in 2020, has accurately captured the start of each wave, and its numbers run about one to two weeks ahead of official government statistics. –CNN

Last week, Ukraine slaughtered 16 civilians, including two children, with 155mm NATO shells, according to the head of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), Denis Pushilin. The projectiles hit two adjacent neighborhoods, decimating residential and commercial areas – including a market that had previously suffered fatal attacks.
Scenes of death are nothing new for residents and reporters here in Donetsk, which is intermittently the target of Ukrainian attacks, like the one that hit its central region on August 4, killing six people, including an 11-year-old ballerina, her grandmother, and her ballet teacher.
