by Michael Snyder, End Of The American Dream:
In secret facilities all over the planet, scientists are pushing the envelope far beyond what most of us thought was possible. They are developing technologies that are decades ahead of what the general public has access to right now, and in many cases little regard is being given to any moral or ethical lines that are being crossed. Unfortunately, many of these new technologies are being designed to be used on us. The “Big Brother control grid” that we see all around us is going to continue to evolve, and each new “improvement” will give the elite even more control. Ultimately, the goal is to get everyone to be completely and utterly dependent on the system that they have created, and anyone that chooses not to be a good servant of that system will be dealt with ruthlessly.

Over the years, experts and researchers have warned about cybersecurity and privacy risks associated with all “smart” technology (see 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7) including what’s installed in motorized vehicles.
For those keeping track, Utility Dive recently published a new terrifying expert op-ed about electric vehicles (EVs), their charging stations, and other “smart” and/or Internet of Things (IoT) enabled devices:
Excess claims/mortality for Q3 22 group life as computed by the society of actuaries (SOA) for 0-44 age group will be 23.9% I am being told. About the same as Q2
Early Q4 22 read is it might tick up…stay tuned
What we do know is it’s basing at 23%-24% and that’s unacceptable pic.twitter.com/52miy74SnN

Glad that so many of you appreciated Part 1 of this sordid tale, told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.
Immediately after I posted Part 1, two friends dropped in from Northern Virginia and took Jill and I out for lunch at the lovely local Barboursville vineyards Palladio Restaurant. And to think that people wonder why Jill and I live in Virginia. Don’t tell anyone, but living here where Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, and James Barbour decided to build their farms beats the hell out of California in so many ways. Not the least of which is that we have all the water we can use on our farm. Please put that observation in the vault, as Madison county VA, USA really does not want more residents. That would require that they build another school, and that would require more property taxes.
from The Epoch Times:
The World Health Organization (WHO) on Jan. 27 released updated recommendations for countries and governments on how to acquire and manage a national stockpile of medical supplies to prevent or reduce exposure in the event of radiological and nuclear emergencies, or to treat injuries if exposure has occurred.
Maria Neira, head of the WHO’s Public Health and Environment department, emphasized the importance of having “ready supplies” of crucial drugs developed over the past decade.
from 21st Century Wire:
No sooner did the new year ring in, did the corporate state’s cancel culture machine kick into high gear, finding a fresh new target.
Not satisfied with regulating speech on the web, the establishment in New Zealand has set its sights on canceling print publications as well, this time for the alleged crime of spreading ‘dangerous conspiracies.’ The gears of censorship have a problem though. As tired epithets like ‘conspiracy’ continue to lose their potency, the cancelation machine is now having to resort to openly lying about content they seek to ban.

by Jeff Thomas, International Man:
Recently, Doug Casey commented, in an essay, on the senselessness of giving to organized charities. I take a similar view. So, are we both heartless, having no concern for the well-being of others? Not at all.
Personal generosity is a laudable quality, but giving to a large organized charity is just plain foolish. At best, three-quarters of your donation will be gobbled up by the administration of the charity. If you genuinely wish to be of value to others, your generosity would be more effective on a local level, where you give directly to those who will benefit from it, and you’re more certain of the outcome. The larger the charity organization, the greater the certainty that much, if not all, of your donation will fail to reach those you hoped would benefit.
