The Republican candidate has crossed the threshold of 270 electoral votes, media projections show
Former US President Donald Trump has secured a second term in office, leading US media outlets have reported, after officials in Wisconsin confirmed that the Republican candidate has won the state.
The win delivered ten electoral college votes to Trump, bringing him over the threshold of 270. He claimed victory hours earlier, predicting that he would also win the popular vote once the final tally is made.

Update (Wednesday 0643ET):
Goldman’s chief economist Jan Hatzius provided clients, shortly after the official call by AP on a Trump win, the six main points of what this means in the political game in Washington, the economy, and markets:
- Media outlets have called the presidential election for Donald Trump, who looks likely to win 312 electoral votes. In the Senate, two Democratic-held seats (Ohio and West Virginia) have flipped to Republicans, giving Republicans the majority. The Republican candidate for the Democratic-held Montana seat holds a wide lead but with little vote reported so far, and Republican candidates lead narrowly in four additional Democratic-held seats (Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin). This likely gives Republicans at least 52 seats in the Senate, with a potential of 56 seats if margins in uncalled races hold.

CNN anchor Jake Tapper appeared stunned Tuesday during a live broadcast as early polling data revealed a dramatic 20-point shift among independent voters in Georgia toward former President Donald Trump compared to what President Joe Biden got in 2020.
During CNN’s “Election Night in America” coverage, Tapper seemed surprised by the results of Georgia’s exit poll centers for independent voters who now favor Trump by 11 points. These results are a dramatic reversal from the 9-point advantage Biden held four years ago.

Bomb threats, equipment issues keep 9 metro Atlanta precincts open later
By Alexis Stevens, Atlanta Jounral-Constitution,
Bomb threats that were unfounded in two metro Atlanta counties, plus problems with voting equipment, will keep nine precincts open later.
The emailed threats were made to precincts in both Fulton and Gwinnett counties, Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger said. In addition, Cobb County election officials said two precincts had delayed openings Tuesday morning while equipment problems were resolved.

The most iconic image of the 2024 campaign came from the Butler Farm Show Grounds in Pennsylvania on July 13. An assassin had just fired multiple shots at President Trump, wounding him in the ear. Secret Service agents scrambled to shield the president, while counter-snipers neutralized the shooter. As members of his security detail began to briskly move him from the stage where he was speaking, President Trump asked them to stop so that he could reassure supporters he was alive and well. With blood streaked across his face and pooling near one side of his mouth, he stretched a closed fist toward a blue sky with an American flag waving just behind his head and shouted to all who could hear, “Fight! Fight! Fight!”

The censorship and manipulation of political information by Big Tech companies led by “woke” white-collar activists, corporate media, fact-checkers funded by far-left billionaires, a web of leftist-controlled non-profits, and the censorship blob in Washington, DC – all working in unison to combat free speech and control public narratives is at its worst: election interference.
One of the best examples is Facebook and Twitter’s suppression of Hunter Biden’s laptop story ahead of the 2020 presidential election…

Yesterday, the National Association of Realtors released their annual Profile of Home Buyers and Sellers. It showed that by the time Americans have saved enough money for a downpayment to buy their first home in America, they will be close to middle age. The study recorded the median age of first-time home buyers as the oldest in the history of the study, at 38 years of age. (In the 1980s, first-time home buyers were in their 20s.) At the same time the age of first-time home buyers was hitting a record high, the percentage of first-time buyers was hitting a record low – just 24 percent of the market in the latest survey. That is the lowest percentage share of first-time home buyers since the National Association of Realtors began conducting the survey in 1981.
