Google has announced they will ban news in Canada in response to the Trudeau Liberals’ Bill C-18.
This comes just days after Meta – the parent company of Facebook and Instagram – announced they would block Canadians’ access to news on their sites.
Last week, the Trudeau government passed the Online News Act, known as Bill C-18, which dictated that tech giants would have to pay news outlets for clicks that direct people to their platforms.

Campus Reform’s Higher Education Fellow Nicholas Giordano recently questioned on Fox Business the younger generation’s Orwellian comfort with in-home government surveillance revealed in a CATO Institute survey published on June 1.
According to CATO’s survey, 29% of young adults age 18 to 29 welcomed federal surveillance, especially for security purposes. Campus Reform’s John Rigolizzo noted on June 9 that CATO’s findings were released closely following reports of the Federal Trade Commission’s lawsuit against Amazon and its security system, Ring, for privacy breaches, including incidents of employees spying on customers.

After over 40 years of ‘positive discrimination’ against White and Asian applicants to American universities, the US Supreme Court ruled today against the controversial race-based policies “affirmative action”, in a 6-3 ruling based on two cases brought by Students For Fair Admissions, challenging the admissions systems used by Harvard and the University of North Carolina. Henceforth, the policy is now deemed unconstitutional.

NASA has plans to begin mining for rare earths and iron on the moon in the early 2030s, Reuters has reported, citing a rocket scientist from the agency.
According to Gerald Sanders, NASA will initially explore the development of oxygen and water on the Moon and will later consider exploring iron ore and rare earths mining.
“We are trying to invest in the exploration phase, understand the resources… to (lower) risk such that external investment makes sense that could lead to development and production,” Sanders said at a mining industry event in Australia.

The University of North Carolina (UNC) has shared an ‘inclusive’ language guide, laying out guidelines for what students and staff are and are not allowed to say.
The guide essentially wipes the word ‘man’ out of existence, and discourages the use of the words ‘mother’ and ‘father’.
A statement from the university claims “Carolina is committed to creating an inclusive and equitable learning environment for every Tar Heel. To fully represent the diversity of our students, faculty, staff and everyone in our community, it is important to use language that supports these values.”
