By no means is Trump the first to find himself in the crosshairs of the rath of government because he sought real change. Eugene Victor Debs (1855–1926) was an American socialist, political activist, and trade unionist and a founding member of the Industrial Workers of the World (IWW). However, he was also a five-time candidate of the Socialist Party of America, running for President of the United States in 1904, 1908, 1912, and 1920 when he ran for president from prison. That’s right! It was the Democrats who also imprisoned him, and he still ran for President in 1920.

After returning to net gold buying in June, central banks continued to add to their gold reserves in July.

Globally, central banks reported net purchases of 55 tons in July, according to the latest data compiled by the World Gold Council.

In March, April and May, central banks reported net gold sales, primarily due to Turkey selling 160 tons of gold over that three-month period. According to the World Gold Council, this was a specific response to local market dynamics and didn’t likely reflect a change in the Turkish central bank’s long-term gold strategy.

On Tuesday, The Daily Mail reported that a baby from Bangkok, Thailand who had been diagnosed with COVID-19 had been given the medication favipiravir. He was the drug’s youngest patient in history.

The baby’s mother informed the doctors after observing that the medication caused his dark brown eyes to turn vivid blue within 18 hours. Five days after taking the medication, the baby’s eyes changed back to their original hue.
