by Wallace Garneau, America Outloud:
Did you know that cleverly hidden in the National Defense Authorization Act of 2013 was an update to the Smith-Mundt Act, removing a ban on the CIA propagandizing the American people?
I did not know that myself until a few minutes before writing this, but I have suggested on a number of occasions that the CIA must have a fair amount of ownership over most American media houses. I based that on the fact that the CIA was smuggling heroin into the United States during the Vietnam War (in the pallets under the coffins of dead US soldiers – the CIA even had special pallets made specifically for this purpose) and was then selling that heroin to fund off-books’ black ops’ in such places as Laos and Cambodia.

Soviet leader Nikita Khrushchev once bragged, “We do not have to invade the United States, we will destroy you from within.” This plan to conquer us “without firing a shot” was put in effect, and Manchurian candidates took up positions in our government, media, education, and entertainment sectors.
To actually take down the most powerful nation on Earth, the enemy must first subdue the people, must tamp down resistance. Thus, the insurgents have spent decades beating the American people into submission. This abuse isn’t physical, but then abuse isn‘t limited to fists. Verbal, emotional, and psychological abuse can be even more debilitating than physical assaults.

World Economic Forum (WEF) Chairman Klaus Schwab has called on governments around the world to begin merging with the unelected corporate elite to usher in his agenda to end “the era of capitalism.”
Schwab made the comments during an address at this week’s Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit.
The event is a meeting of Southeast Asian governments and their “partner” nations.

A literal power vacuum—that’s what California Senate Bill 233 proposes.
And what is to be sucked? Your electric car.
The bill—which has passed the Senate and is now winding its way through the Assembly—states that all new electric vehicles to be sold in California after 2030 be “bidirectional.”
Because the state has decided to essentially go all electric without having the ability to actually provide enough electricity, the climate warriors have gotten a bit creative and now see the millions of electric vehicles (EVs) in the state as tiny batteries to make up for their incompetence.

As climate-related disasters in the United States have taken on the look and feel of sci-fi films, the U.S. Senate Banking Committee will hold a hearing this morning on the dramatic impact this is having on the ability of homeowners to find and keep affordable homeowners insurance policies.
As a backdrop to the hearing, four days ago Jacob Bogage, a business reporter at the Washington Post, shared these revelations with readers:
by Michael Snyder, The Economic Collapse Blog:
Higher interest rates are absolutely strangling the real estate industry, and there is no relief in sight. The sudden shift from a very low interest rate environment to a much higher interest rate environment has paralyzed sales. As I have discussed previously, very few homeowners that are currently locked into a mortgage at a low interest rate want to sell, because buying a home to replace the one that they are selling would mean taking on a mortgage at a much higher rate of interest. And millions of potential home buyers have been chased out of the market because of the exceedingly high mortgage payments that they would be facing if they pulled the trigger on a purchase right now. So sales of previously-owned homes have dropped by more than 32 percent over the past two years. In other words, about a third of the entire previously-owned home market has already been wiped out.
Why is Klaus holding court at the current ASEAN summit in Indonesia ?
And why is Klaus also advocating for a merger of state and corporate power ? pic.twitter.com/I5IdOvrSxM

Secretary of State Tony Blinken made a surprise visit to Ukraine to announce another US aid package, so the deadly Ukraine war can continue. Blinken promised another fresh $1 billion on the heals of the announcement that the Ukraine Army lost 66,000 soldiers in the past three months alone. Add that to the 300,000 Ukraine casualties, and it’s hard to understand why Blinken and others in the D.C. swamp constantly say this is the “most profitable investment.” My question: Is Blinken nuts or simply corrupt, cruel and demonic. Why are there no peace talks with this kind of defeat and carnage for Ukraine and NATO? Do they want nuclear war?

The Africa Climate Summit hosted in Kenya focused on how the world can manipulate the weather through taxation. In no way due to geography or distance to the equator, African leaders honed in on how Africa faces numerous climate-related challenges such as desertification, drought, rising temperatures, and cyclones. “To achieve the necessary emissions reduction targets and ensure adequate funding for climate action, a comprehensive global funding mechanism is required,” the summit leaders declared.
