Russian President Vladimir Putin is calling out the “rot” in the U.S. System over the nakedly political persecution of former U.S. President Donald Trump.
Putin made his remarks on Tuesday during the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok.
“The things that are happening to Trump are persecution of a political competitor… That is what it is. And it is done in the full view of the US public and the entire world,” he said, adding that the U.S. “cannot claim the right to teach others democracy” due to their immense hypocrisy.
“[The US] demonstrates what they called in Soviet times ‘the bestial scowl of imperialism’,” Putin said.

Last week, New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham banned citizens from carrying firearms in Albuquerque. She was neither bothered nor slowed by recent U.S. Supreme Court affirmations of the 2nd Amendment.
Now, unless sheriffs in the state develop the backbone to stand up for citizens, gun owners in New Mexico have a tough choice to make. Those who decide they will not comply with Grisham’s illegal order could be arrested and prosecuted.

Microsoft analysts have warned that Chinese operatives were behind fake social media accounts using artificial intelligence-generated images to manipulate and influence American voters by spreading disinformation and provoking discussion on divisive political issues.
According to a detailed report from Microsoft’s Digital Threat Analysis Center (DTAC), China-affiliated actors have been using AI-generated visual media to craft politically charged content in English while impersonating U.S. voters.

The new social networking app Threads, which was marketed as an alternative to the platform formerly known as Twitter, is now limiting access to information and prohibiting searches related to key terms such as “coronavirus” and “vaccines,” as revealed by the Washington Post.
Despite only being a couple of months old, the platform has already been observed to deliberately muzzle certain search terms in its novel search functionality.
