More than 80 percent of the Americans eligible to receive the last COVID-19 booster vaccine refused to get the jab, according to a recent survey published in the journal “Vaccine“.
The researchers asked over 2,000 people why they decided against getting the booster vaccine in the autumn of last year. The results identified several predominant reasons, including having already been infected with COVID, being concerned about potential side effects or dangers of the vaccine, believing that another shot would not provide more protection than they already had, as well as doubting whether the booster would protect them against severe disease or death.
