At one time I was thinking AI got dangerous, we could just unplug the computer. Now I’m not so sure….
What if it started actually killing people on a large scale? It’s worth asking…
What is a war crime? Using nuclear weapons at this point would probably qualify. But what about technology that is so new that few humans can even fathom it? Apparently, it is no longer scifi.
by Chris Menahan, Information Liberation:
The Southern Poverty Law Center laid off a quarter of their staff on Wednesday — even though the notoriously money-hungry nonprofit has “nearly a billion dollars in reserves.”
“[T]oday, SPLC — my employer — laid off over 60 of our union members, essentially shuttering multiple departments,” the SPLC’s Hannah Gais, who describes herself as a “journalist” and “researcher” said on Twitter. “[S]peaking in a personal capacity, [I] endorse each and every single word of this statement from our union. [A]n organization with this much money has no excuse.”
“How will today’s layoffs help us achieve our goals of fighting hate, decarcerating Black and Brown people, defending democracy, and eradicating poverty?” the SPLC Union lamented on Twitter.
by Paul Craig Roberts, Paul Craig Roberts:
We now have matching news from the opposing camp. Just as Trump is the first US President to be convicted by a jury, Hunter Biden is the first son of a sitting president to be convicted of a federal felony.
This conviction of Hunter Biden leaves me unsettled, as does his likely pending conviction for federal income tax evasion. The real issue is the information on Hunter Biden’s laptop that the FBI was able for awhile to suppress and brand as “Russian disinformation.” This is under US law obstruction of Justice by the FBI. All responsible should, if US law is still enforceable, be arrested, indicted, and prosecuted. It would be justice to see the FBI in the dock after all the innocent people the corrupt organization has put there.

Tekoa Da Silva: Rick I’d like to ask you today about the decade of the 1970s.
During the decade of the 1970s U.S. President Richard Nixon took the U.S. off the gold standard. There were bouts of wage and price controls, gasoline rationing, an oil embargo and political turbulence.
From 1970 to 1980 the price of oil went from roughly $1.21 bbl to about $40.00 bbl. Gold went from $35.00 oz. to over $800.00 oz., and the CRB commodity index moved up about 300% during the decade.

Katherine Watt has been corresponding with a reader who is researching the history of US public health and regulatory agencies. Records before 1973 are difficult to locate. However, what has become clear is that the origins of these agencies are not what they make them out to be.
Why are they lying about their origins? Because, Watt says, “they have maintained a bunch of empty office buildings that serve only as mailing addresses … There are no technicians in the buildings, there’s no equipment and no sample testing occurs.”
by Michael Nevradakis, Ph.D., Childrens Health Defense:
Many VAERS reports list “age unknown” for people who were injured or died following a COVID-19 vaccine. VAERS analyst Albert Benavides said a closer look at the report summaries often reveals the victim’s age — yet VAERS doesn’t update the reports to reflect this. If it did, the number of child death reports after the vaccine would be much higher.
Fetal deaths and miscarriages, sudden cardiac arrest, sudden death and suicides — these are some of the causes of death listed in reports submitted to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) on children who received a COVID-19 vaccine.
from The Conservative Treehouse:
Today, June 12th, is Russia Day, a national holiday in the Russian federation. The symbolism of the intentionally timed events happening today seems to be lost on most western media.
A Russian Yasen-class nuclear submarine named “Kazan” arrived in Havana, Cuba today after piloting through the Florida straits. Watching a massive nuclear submarine sail into Havana is something extraordinary considering all the provocations taking place between the USA and Russia surrounding the conflict in Ukraine.
by Nick Rendell, Daily Sceptic:
Despite the ‘pandemic response’ being a non-issue in the General Election (all parties were compliant and consequently complicit in the single most disastrous policy ever followed by any Government) the issue of vaccine harms hasn’t entirely gone away. A paper published in the BMJ Public Health journal and covered in a front page piece by Sarah Knapton in the Telegraph gave the issue much needed credence. This was followed by David Davis MP repeating a call for a proper inquiry into excess deaths and a post from Carl Heneghan and Tom Jefferson, published on their Substack Trust the Evidence and reprinted in the Daily Sceptic.
