Researchers at the University of California, Davis, have just published a study that looked at the environmental impacts of lab-cultured meat, and they have determined that based on current production methods, the global warming potential (GWP) of lab-cultured beef would be approximately 25% greater than conventional beef cows raised on farms.
The study also concluded that the “fossil fuel depletion” of lab-cultured beef is “approximately 3 to 17 times greater” than producing boneless beef.

The run higher in the Nasdaq has become insane. It’s an “echo bubble” from the bubble that popped in November 2021. The Fed fueled this when it juiced its balance sheet by $400B in order to bail out uninsured depositors at the regional banks. But don’t be mistaken, Citigroup was feeding hungrily at the Fed trough as well. That $400B is now being drained. That along with the liquidity sucked out of the financial system should lead to another Nasdaq crash sometime this summer and possibly usher in the next round of QE.

The Debt Ceiling Charade ended over the weekend when President Biden signed the “Fiscal Responsibility Act of 2023,” that suspends the debt ceiling through early 2025. A US default was “averted.” The ending of the charade is always known in advance: Congress will agree on a deal at the last minute, and the President will sign it, as it has been done for the 80th times since 1960. But the process of getting there can make you nervous. Then, after the Debt Ceiling Charade is over, we get a huge spike in the debt.

With the goal of reaching every corner of the earth to detect infectious diseases as they appear, the World Health Organisation (“WHO”) is partnering with key countries on all continents and private entities such as The Rockefeller Foundation to form a new global organisation to monitor, identify and track diseases.
WHO is not transparent and doesn’t indicate who its partners are on any project. They’re not about to start now even on something that severely impacts the daily lives of the entire world’s population, like who is really controlling the data that would be used to declare a global pandemic. So, it’s unclear whether Wellcome Trust is a partner alongside The Rockefeller Foundation.

The long-awaited offensive from Ukraine has begun. So far the results have been mixed with both sides claiming victories per the normal flow of propaganda. None of that matters.
What is not up for discussion is the tragedy, aimed squarely at civilians, of the Nova Kakhovka hydroelectric dam, attacked last night releasing the Dnieper river into the valley in Kherson oblast.
This dam provided not only local electric power but also cooling water for the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP), the largest nuclear power plant in Europe.
