The establishment media can barely contain its excitement over Iran’s newly elected president, Masoud Pezeshkian, who is, “journalists” can’t stop reminding us, a “reformist.” But does his election herald genuine reform in the Islamic Republic of Iran? Will the Islamic regime stop making war with its own citizens? Will the mullahs make peace with Israel and the United States? As it turns out, there are genuine reformists and there are recipients of media adulation. At least so far, Masoud Pezeshkian looks much more like the latter than the former.

A recent headline from the New York Post reads: “Chilling new video captures suspected Saudi spy filming US Capitol, National Monument before 9/11.”
In the video Omar al-Bayoumi, an accused Saudi intelligence operative with close ties to two of the 9/11 hijackers, can be seen casing the US Capitol building and the Washington Monument while exclaiming “O beloved, esteemed brothers, a greeting to you from Omar al-Bayoumi.” The video, which was discovered during a British raid on Al-Bayoumi’s UK residence in 2001, provides compelling evidence that Saudi intelligence provided essential help to terrorist operatives in the United States.

I was driving to work the other day, when the song Nothing Else Matters by Metallica began emanating from my radio. It is a haunting tune and far different then their normal heavy metal repertoire. Depending on my current state of mind, certain songs trigger thoughts about the state of affairs in this increasingly warped world and my place in this chaotic spiraling civilization. This song meant one thing to their lead singer and songwriter James Hetfield, but everyone who hears the song relates to its lyrics in a way personal to them.
