I can understand why.
Already, classic novels are being scrubbed and edited to cater to far-left ideologies (if they haven’t been outright banned altogether). Re-woking TV shows to make them more “inclusive” doesn’t sound all that far-fetched.

In the latest instance of LGBT’s corrosive influence on American society, the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) is offering “LGBTQIA + ally training” to its personnel, including the “gender unicorn” and “transgender terminology index.”
The Heritage Foundation’s Oversight Project discovered this training by filing a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request. They found that DCSA personnel is being indoctrinated for “inclusion and diversity” to learn “basic concepts” like “sex is biological” and “gender is a social construct.”

Sens. Raphael Warnock, Dick Durbin, and Chuck Schumer reintroduced HR 14, dubbed the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, on March 1, more than two years after it failed to make headway in the Senate after being passed by the House in 2021.
If the bill were to pass, it would enable the Department of Justice to “intervene anywhere in the country to overrule local or state authorities whenever the left alleges that changes in the laws could theoretically disadvantage minority voters,” as Jonathan Tobin explained…
The legislation is a power grab meant to circumvent the Supreme Court’s 2013 decision that restrained the federal government’s overreach into elections.
