(LifeSiteNews) – As Canadian provinces make moves to support a bare minimum of parental rights, the powerful LGBT movement and their allies are, as predicted, swinging into action. In New Brunswick, “Child and Youth Advocate” (and former Liberal MLA) has claimed that Premier Blaine Higgs’ policy is likely illegal. In Saskatchewan, where Premier Scott Moe has implemented a policy requiring parental consent for “social transition” for children under the age of 16, the UR Pride Centre for Sexuality and Gender Diversity filed legal action with the Saskatchewan Court of King’s Bench requesting that a judge strike the policy down.

Tim Stanley in the Telegraph highlights the chilling case of Finnish MP and former Interior Minister (i.e., Home Secretary) Päivi Räsänen, whose prosecution by the state for her traditional Christian views on sex is a “canary in a coal mine” showing free speech in the West is dead – sacrificed in favour of banning ‘insults’.

Päivi Räsänen is a doctor, longstanding MP and former interior minister. In 2019, police opened an investigation into her for “incitement against a minority”. The accusation is based upon a tweet in which she asked why the Lutheran Church sponsored a Pride event; a debate in which she said God intends us to be straight; and a booklet she authored nearly 20 years ago that argued homosexuality is a developmental disorder.

The latest is supermarket chain Giant Food, which warned about “unprecedented levels” of “shrink” – the loss of inventory due to circumstances such as retail theft – at one of its stores in Washington, DC.

NBC Washington said the Giant Food, located at 1535 Alabama Ave SE, has already warned if rampant shoplifting continues, the supermarket will have to close its doors.

A Virginia-based content analysis and media watchdog exposed that tech giant Google has been suppressing the campaign websites of all serious challengers of President Joe Biden. The Big Tech firm is instead providing Biden’s website among the top search results.

According to a report from the Media Research Center (MRC) on Thursday, typing in ‘presidential campaign websites’ at the said search engine returned results that did not include Republican candidates on the first page. The search was done the day before the first Republican primary debate of the 2024 season which was held on August 23. MRC created an algorithm to automate the process in a “clean environment,” which allows for an organic search to populate results without the influence of prior search history and tracking cookies.

The Associated Press reported on August 22 that “more than 200 extrajudicial killings of former Afghan government officials and security forces have taken place since the Taliban took over the country two years ago, according to a U.N. report.” These were people the Taliban had promised not to kill, but as Muhammad said, “War is deceit” (Bukhari 4.52.268). Nine days before that, the Daily Mail reported that “militants who left fingerprints on IEDs meant to kill Americans in Afghanistan and a prisoner freed by the Taliban were among more than 65 terrorists allowed into the United States after the catastrophic withdrawal.” What could possibly go wrong?
