The United States of America is at war with Russia. There is not much point in using terms such as “proxy war” to describe the situation. If a belligerent in a war is acting as a proxy for another power and that power is not engaged directly in the war, the term can be useful. But when the power, for which the “proxy” engages in the war, is directly involved in the war itself, then it is a co-belligerent, a party to the war directly, not simply by proxy.
The issue is whether each state is pursuing its own interests and has its own independent means of doing so, or whether the interests and forces of the allied powers are subordinate to the interests and forces of a leader. In such a case, the enemy being attacked can regard all its opponents as a single entity.

When I first got into this precious metals stuff back in 2009, Andrew Maguire was this mythical figure…the “London Trader” who tipped off Bart Chilton, leading to an actual CFTC hearing on precious metal price manipulation. To say that it is an honor to now consider him a dear friend is an understatement.
Andy continues the fight against The Banks to this day, tirelessly carrying the flag now for over 15 years. Unfortunately, the work is not yet done and so we soldier on.

One of the lowest box office debuts for a Pixar movie ever.
A new Disney Pixar movie that features a non-binary character using they/them pronouns has completely flopped at the box office.
The production titled Elemental, which also features characters ‘tackling’ racism and xenophobia, ranks as one of the lowest box office debuts for a Pixar movie ever.
They spent around $200 million making it. It opened with a $29.5 million recoup.
You do the math(s).

President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter, will plead guilty in a deal to avoid jail time after he was charged with a gun felony and two tax misdemeanors.
Hunter Biden was charged Tuesday with illegally possessing a handgun in 2018 along with failing to pay federal taxes in 2017 and 2018.
“The first Information charges the defendant with tax offenses – namely, two counts of willful failure to pay federal income tax,” according to U.S. Attorney David Weiss’ letter. Weiss was appointed by former President Donald Trump and left on the case by Attorney General Merrick Garland. “The second Information charges the defendant with a firearm offense – namely, one count of possession of a firearm by a person who is an unlawful user of or addicted to a controlled substance.”

More mass data processing.
The UK government has published its Geospatial Strategy 2030, an update to the one unveiled a decade ago – and the focus now is on “unlocking the power of location data,” as well as surveillance of population movements.
The document, prepared by the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology’s Geospatial Commission, set up five years ago, claims that the implementation of the new strategy will “unlock” billions of pounds via “location-powered innovation,” thanks to using AI, satellite imaging and real time data.

The human population has become increasingly urbanized for compelling reasons that have been in play since cities were founded thousands of years ago.
In a nutshell, cities offer greater economic / social opportunities and more novelty, variety and excitement.
Cities became possible when agricultural surpluses enabled labor to become specialized. This increased:
1. productivity, as skilled workers in workshops, mills, kilns, etc. could produce more goods per unit of time than households;
