Elon Musk, the tech billionaire behind Neuralink, has made bold claims about the future of brain-computer interfaces, suggesting that his company’s technology will one day grant users “cybernetic superpowers.”
Forbes reports that in a series of tweets and a rare video update, Elon Musk, owner of Neuralink, has painted a futuristic picture of the company’s brain implant technology. Musk’s vision includes the ability for users to control robots with their minds and for amputees to move prosthetic limbs faster than they could their original limbs. These ambitious predictions come as Neuralink prepares to implant its experimental brain chip into a second human patient “within the next week or so.”

The Russian Defense Ministry is claiming to recruit 1,00 soldiers per day for war service. That amounts to 200,000 people just this year.
The Defense Ministry in Moscow has said that the average recruitment rate is “about 1,000 people per day,” in a post on Telegram on Thursday. Russia has conducted a wide-scale recruitment campaign since launching its military operation in Ukraine in February 2022. Last month, President Vladimir Putin said around 700,000 troops are currently deployed in the conflict zone.

Post-1976, every single presidential election has either had a Bush, a Clinton, or a Biden (or a combination thereof) somewhere on the ticket. And that’s a 45+-year timeframe of 12 different presidential elections! So, yeah – in American politics, institutional momentum and a politician’s long-term brand identification means a helluva lot.
Eventually, however, all brand identities will mutate. Brand IDs aren’t fixed, static things; they’re constantly evolving – or devolving – and over time, they transform into something dimensionally different from what they once were. For thousands of years, the swastika was a Hindu symbol of good fortune that was wholly disconnected from abhorrent theories of racism, white power, or Nazism. Not so much anymore. And less than 40 years ago, the Battle Flag of the Army of Northern Virginia, a.k.a. the Confederate Flag, was innocuous enough to adorn the roof of an orange Dodge Charger on a kids’ Friday night TV show. Today, there’s not a single TV executive who’d greenlight a kids’ show with protagonists associating themselves with Confederate symbology. Not even in the Deep South (Although they’d approve of it for the villains, of course).

One result of the just concluded NATO Summit is Germany’s decision to host US intermediate-range missiles. Prior to 2019 when Washington cancelled the INF Treaty, the treaty prevented such deployment.
The INF Treaty was signed by Ronald Reagan and Mikhail Gorbachev on December 8,1987, and the treaty was ratified on June 1, 1988. The treaty was part and parcel of ending the cold war. Reagan called the treaty a “step toward a safer world.”

The Biden administration reinforces its ranks with what some reports see as yet more ardent censorship advocates.
This time it’s Andy Volosky, whose “claim to fame” thus far has been to wholeheartedly support the banning of President Donald Trump by former Twitter (while Trump was still president).
Unsurprisingly, his other efforts are advocating for even stricter online censorship (“content moderation”) than what social platforms have been doing for almost a decade now.

There is ample evidence to show that routine childhood vaccines cause sudden infant death syndrome, or SIDS, and have done so for decades. Yet that evidence is ignored or suppressed.
In 2011, Dr. Raymond Obomsawin gave a lecture during which he provided several scientific studies to show the harm, including sudden death, that childhood vaccines are causing.
Dr. Obomsawin believed that most cases of shaken baby syndrome are also caused by childhood vaccines. “We see this epidemic of accusations against parents, and there are large numbers of people now in prison, in which they’re claiming they shook their babies and killed them. Most of these parents loved their children and I believe didn’t do it,” he said.
