Judge Christopher Lopez said a court-appointed trustee who oversaw the auction made ‘a good-faith error.’
A federal judge in Texas on Dec. 10 rejected the auction sale of Alex Jones’s Infowars website to satirical publication The Onion, ruling that the process did not result in the best possible bids and citing concerns about transparency in the auction.
The Onion was named the winning bidder of Infowars’ assets during the Nov. 14 auction, part of a personal bankruptcy case Jones filed in late 2022 after he was ordered to pay nearly $1.5 billion in several defamation lawsuits.

President Joe Biden doesn’t seem to care about his job after the party ousted him in July.
Biden is upset and angry about being forced from the presidential ticket, Politico reported Monday, and he seems to believe he “doesn’t owe much more to a party that unceremoniously pushed him aside.”
Biden has spent the weeks since the election mostly out of public view. He refuses to answer questions about pardoning his son, Hunter Biden, and did not attend the historic reopening of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris on Saturday. He sent first lady Jill Biden in his stead, fueling speculation about whether or not he is well enough for public events.

Russian President Vladimir Putin is laughing at the West with its failed attempts to cripple Moscow with sanctions.
The only thing those sanctions have done, Putin said this week at the plenary session of the VTB “Russia is Calling!” Investment Forum is strengthening Russia, whose businesses are “adapting and thriving,” to quote one media report, with overall trade increasing, not decreasing.
“We often hear that those nations set the goal to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia in political, military, and economic spheres, including in terms of economics and technology” Putin stated, adding that “certain nations” have proven to be unreliable trade partners that have only tried to hurt Russia.
