Unbeknownst to most, a plastic-like substance derived from nature is hiding in all sorts of food items. And because it is unlabeled, avoiding it can be difficult unless you know where to look.
A linear polymer of N-acetyl glucosamine, chitin is said to be the most abundant aminopolysaccharide polymer in nature. It is a common post-harvest food additive that, believe it or not, is derived from the exoskeletons of crustaceans, insects, and the cell walls of fungi.
You would have no idea it is there, but chitin, or chitosan, is slathered over vegetables and fruit as a protective coating to prolong their shelf life. It is also used on eggs, meat, and in dairy products (Related: The powers that be want us all eating not just chitin but whole insects).

Voter analytics firm PredictWise harvested location data from tens of millions of US cellphones during the initial Covid lockdown months and used this data to assign a “Covid-19 decree violation” score to the people associated with the phones.
These Covid-19 decree violation scores were calculated by analyzing nearly two billion global positioning system (GPS) pings to get “real-time, ultra-granular locations patterns.” People who were “on the go more often than their neighbors” were given a high Covid-19 decree violation score while those who mostly or always stayed at home were given a low Covid-19 decree violation score.

Russia will call for an investigation of US biological labs in Ukraine at the meeting of the UN Security council tomorrow, October 27, TASS reports.
According a draft proposal obtained by TASS, Russia will urge the UN Security Council to “set up a commission consisting of all members of the Security Council to investigate into the claims against the US and Ukraine contained in the complaint of the Russian Federation regarding the compliance with obligations under the [Biological Weapons] Convention in the context of the activities biological laboratories in the territory of Ukraine,” and present a report by 30 November 2022.

As Musk has fought off legal challenges to close the deal, including a bid at one time to back out over fake accounts that arguably inflated the value of the company, it hardly seemed real that he would be able to pull it off.

AND says it is “the world’s largest organization of nutrition and dietetics practitioners” representing “more than 112,000 credentialed practitioners” including registered dietitian nutritionists and other food and nutrition professionals.
