In June of this year, new CNN boss Chris Licht claimed that “no layoffs” for the company were pending, specifically noting:
“As it relates to CNN, there are no layoffs per se…A layoff is a downsizing, where you are given a target, and that is not happening at CNN.”
This was after the embarrassing cancellation of the CNN+ streaming service following a massive shortfall in expected audience numbers, and right before the company dropped Brian Stelter from the roster along with his failed show. It seems that Licht has changed his mind, or had his mind changed for him as he announced layoffs are on the way starting as soon as this December in a town hall meeting for employees. The meeting followed a memo Licht released to employees at the end of October in which he outlined the seriousness of the situation:

The party of Brazillian President Jair Bolsonaro and his conservative Partido Liberal (PL) party have formally requested an annulment of the October 30th presidential election result. The move comes after “two audits of the electronic voting machines” showed they changed some voting percentages. Meanwhile, Brazil’s people have risen against the alleged voter fraud, with millions flooding the streets in protest. However, the corrupted Supreme Court is taking extreme measures to silence its citizens.

Nearly half of Britain’s young people are too frightened of being ostracised to challenge beliefs in ‘white privilege’, a new survey from Policy Exchange shows. The Mail on Sunday has more.
It reveals that 59 per cent of school leavers have been taught ‘critical race theory’ – the premise by American academics that racism shapes Western life and white people enjoy advantages because of their colour.
But 40% of the 18-20-year-olds taught about ‘white privilege’ and similar concepts said they were afraid of being outed for their beliefs if they disagreed.

An executive from the online crowdfunding platform GoFundMe said in testimony before a parliamentary committee that there is no evidence suggesting that any of the funds raised for the Freedom Convoy protest through the platform were illegal or acquired through criminal means.
Conservative MP Larry Brock asked GoFundMe general counsel Kim Wilford if she agreed that there was “no evidence that any of the funds originating to your platform were proceeds of crime.”
