Glyphosate is the controversial ingredient in Roundup weedkiller and other herbicides. Last summer a court decided in favor of petitioners who challenged the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) claim that it was safe, so the agency must re-evaluate glysophate’s risks. In the meantime, however, Roundup and other herbicides containing the glyphosate are still being sold and victims continue to file and win lawsuits against the manufacturer (see 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6). Perhaps new research will help speed up the judicial and regulatory processes.
