Elon Musk to Expose Twitter’s Cover-up of Hunter Biden Laptop Story

    0

    from 21st Century Wire:

When Joe Biden was running for President in 2020, he lied to the country about his son’s highly incriminating laptop – claiming the Hunter Biden laptop story was “Russian disinformation.” Joe Biden also lied about not having any knowledge of his son’s dodgy business dealings.

Twitter’s new owner, Elon Musk, now says it is “necessary” to publicise all internal discussions surrounding Twitter’s decision to censor the New York Post’s original Hunter Biden laptop story ahead of the 2020 election. Polling conducted after-the-fact has since shown that if the story was properly publicised it would have cost Joe Biden the election. Watch:

Saudi Arabia Looks to Replace Washington with Beijing

        0

by Salman Rafi Sheikh, New Eastern Outlook:

Whereas China and Russia do already have an agenda of a new, multipolar world order, they are far from the only players. While undoubtedly the most important ones, both are not only allied with each other, they are forming alliances with countries that were previously squarely placed in the US camp. Among the countries willing to turn their normal trade ties with China into a strategic alliance is Saudi Arabia, a country pushed to change its ties with the US not only because of the rupture between the Biden administration and Saudi’s crown prince Muhammad bin Salman (MBS), but also because it sees value in a multipolar world where it can project itself as a global player. If Saudi wishes to ‘change’ and become a regional and global powerhouse, it is possible only when it can exercise a high degree of strategic autonomy. Exercising that is nearly impossible as long as Riyadh is tied to Washington. Exercising that requires cutting the umbilical cord and coming into a position where it makes its strategic choices without toing the US line.

The Russo-Ukrainian conflict appears to be nowhere near to a close, which now has many commentators worrying about the economic implications of this conflict.

Europe in particular is being hit hard by the energy shock this conflict has created. In addition, the energy sanctions the European Union has pursued against Russia for its invasion of Ukraine are blowing up in these countries’ faces.

Ghana in Talks With Dubai Oil Refiner to Barter Gold for Fuel

                                0

by Ekow Dontoh and Moses Mozart Dzawu, Bloomberg:

Ghana spends about $4.8 billion annually to buy fuel
West African nation’s reserves have fallen 38% to $6.7 billion

Ghana is in talks with Emirates National Oil Co. for a barter arrangement that will enable the West African nation to buy fuel with gold.

The government reached a “tentative” agreement with the Dubai-based oil firm, said Kabiru Mahama, an economic adviser to Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia. Ghana, Africa’s second-largest gold producer, last week ordered large mining companies to sell 20% of the metal they refine to the central bank from Jan. 1 as it builds up reserves of bullion to be used to import fuel and reduce demand for dollars after its currency plunged 57% this year.
