The United States destroyed Russia’s Nord Stream pipelines in the Baltic Sea in September last year after a covert operation to plant explosives that President Joe Biden could detonate when he wanted, investigative reporter Seymour Hersh revealed yesterday.
A source with deep knowledge of the covert operation disclosed the details for the former New York Times reporter. Hersh did not name his source.

Elon Musk’s SpaceX has blocked the Ukrainian government and its military from using Starlink technology to fly and control drones, after earlier in the war SpaceX gifted thousands of Starlink dishes to Ukriane to help the population stay connected to the internet.
SpaceX president Gwynne Shotwell in a statement asserted that Starlink technology was “never meant to be weaponized”. According to BBC, “She made reference to Ukraine’s alleged use of Starlink to control drones, and stressed that the equipment had been provided for humanitarian use.”

January was a horrible month for job losses, and major layoff announcements are coming fast and furious here in February. But of course the Biden administration would have us believe that everything is just fine. Last week, the government told us that the U.S. economy “added 517,000 jobs” in January. But as I discussed in a previous article, that wasn’t what actually happened. The raw, unadjusted number showed that the U.S. economy actually lost 2.5 million jobs last month. That is a terrible number, but after the bureaucrats in Washington were done with their “adjustments” it magically became a gain of 517,000 jobs. If you want to have faith that their “adjustments” are appropriate, good for you. But other sources also confirm that things have really taken a turn for the worse. For example, Challenger, Gray & Christmas just issued a report that concluded that last month “was the worst January for job cuts since the Great Recession in 2009”…

Of course, the Goldbugs always misinterpret a rally in gold. The buying coming from China is in preparation for war – not bullish gold for the sake of gold. I have warned that if war was coming, then you will see China start to sell off US Treasuries. You certainly do not fund your adversary’s war against yourself.
China was buying aggressively during January, but they have backed off slightly. January was simply the standard 3-month reaction. The strong gold buying from China corresponded to China’s accelerated selling of U.S. Treasuries.

A bill introduced in the Wisconsin Senate would create a state sales tax exemption on the sale of gold and silver bullion. By effectively repealing the sales tax, the bill would relieve some of the tax burden on investors, and take a step toward treating precious metal bullion as money instead of a commodity.
A coalition of 23 Republicans introduced Senate Bill 33 (SB33) on Feb. 3. The legislation would create a sales and use tax exemption for precious metal bullion. The bill defines “precious metal bullion” as coins, bars, rounds, or sheets that contain at least 35 percent gold, silver, copper, platinum, or palladium.

The litigation letter asks the individuals to “preserve potential evidence for future lawsuits related to the alleged theft of personal data that may include information from his laptop,” NBC News reported.
