Each and every day we go through the news and we have to wonder if the world has simply gone insane. Then we decide to just worry about our own country and sure enough, it seems as if just about our whole country has lost their minds.
Stefan reminded me to say “just about” the whole country has gone insane, because every day in the comment section we see others just as dumbfounded as we are regarding the news we, and our commenters, share every day.
Craziness apparently rules America these days.

Google is testing an AI tool named ‘Genesis’ that uses artificial intelligence technology to produce news stories, pitching it to news organizations including The New York Times, The Washington Post and News Corp.
Of course, the old joke about the legacy news media has long been that the stories are written with artificial intelligence because it’s not real news, going all the way back to the original fake news known as ‘Yellow Journalism’. But all that is about to change. The global dominators at Google are working on a new project, codenamed ‘Genesis’, that will use AI technology like ChatGPT to write news stories and articles for all the main fake news merchants. And the fact they’ve named it ‘Genesis’? Don’t get me started.

Senator Rand Paul told Breitbart News Daily that he has criminally referred Fauci to the Department of Justice for prosecution.
This should not come as a surprise. In December, Senator Paul told Jesse Watters on FOX News that Republicans had caught Fauci in several lies and “he won’t get away.”
Former NIAID chief Dr. Anthony Fauci previously testified and responded to questions about the NIH’s role in funding gain-of-function research at the Wuhan lab.
Rand Paul and Fauci got into a tense exchange over Fauci’s involvement in funding the Wuhan lab’s gain-of-function research that likely led to Covid-19 in September 2022.

Canadian film director James Cameron has a warning for humanity. Cameron said his 1984 sci-fi blockbuster ‘The Terminator’ should have served as a warning about the dangers of artificial intelligence and that the “weaponization” of the emerging AI tech could have disastrous consequences.
Speaking to CTV News during an interview on Tuesday, the award-winning director was asked whether he believes artificial intelligence could someday bring “the extinction of humanity,” a fear raised even by some industry leaders.
“I absolutely share their concern. I warned you guys in 1984 and you didn’t listen,” he said, referring to his film ‘The Terminator,’ which revolves around a cybernetic assassin created by an intelligent supercomputer known as Skynet.

In a shocking display of what can only be described as a systemic failure in the proper execution of law enforcement tactics, the Circleville Police Department in Ohio allowed a police dog to brutally attack a surrendering suspect following a chase that covered three counties. The attack took place on July 4, but the unsettling footage of the incident was obtained by the Guardian, which made a public records request and made it available for public viewing this week.
