Compounding this tragedy, a Border Patrol agent has acknowledged significant gaps in monitoring the movement of immigrant children.

A recently surfaced video from investigative journalist Anthony Rubin of Muckraker.com reveals allegations of child trafficking involving a federal contractor with ties to the CIA, FBI, DHS, and NSA. The footage captures young children being escorted through Houston airport early in the morning by a masked woman, who reportedly claimed she was “on vacation.”In his investigation, Rubin followed vans loaded with children from what he identified as a facility connected to MVM Inc., a Virginia-based government contractor that has received over $248 million since 2014 to transport immigrant children. Rubin recorded scenes of children being loaded into vehicles, their belongings left behind, and their transport through TSA security without presenting identification.

When questioned by Rubin, a Border Patrol agent candidly acknowledged the reality of child trafficking within the immigration system. “Some are [trafficked],” the agent admitted, adding, “A lot of kids come over here with totally fake names” and are given “brand new identities.” The agent compared the situation to events depicted in the movie Sound of Freedom, stating, “Exactly like that sh*t happens.”
Rubin also confronted a contractor at the airport, questioning if they were aware of children not knowing their sponsors. His questions were met with silence.

MVM Inc., identified by Rubin as being connected to the transportation of these children, has faced scrutiny before. A 2018 report from Reveal News exposed the company’s operation of unlicensed facilities in Phoenix, where immigrant children were housed without adequate amenities such as private bathrooms.
MVM, originally founded by former Secret Service agents, previously provided guards for CIA facilities in Iraq. Despite its contracts for child transportation, the company has no licensing for child care facilities in Arizona.
In his video, Rubin documented the vehicles’ journey from an alleged MVM facility to Houston airport, where children were escorted through TSA security. According to the Border Patrol agent, many children carried notes directing them to sponsors, but in numerous cases, these addresses led to traffickers.
The agent lamented the political constraints that prevent Border Patrol from speaking publicly, saying, “Honestly bro, I really wish there were more people like you exposing this sh*t. It truly is a horrible thing.”
MVM has not confirmed its involvement in the incidents shown in Rubin’s footage, and the identities of the contractors filmed remain unverified. However, the revelations raise urgent questions about the oversight of contractors tasked with managing vulnerable immigrant children and the systemic failures enabling trafficking within U.S. borders.
