Comedian, actor and podcaster Russell Brand, formerly a hard-left liberal, who took a turn slightly right, has been accused of rape and sexual assault that allegedly happened more than a decade ago.

Accused.

As of now these are no more than allegations.

Allegations that didn’t become international news until Brand started criticizing the left and was labeled a right-wing “conspiracy theorist.” There has been no police investigation, no court appearances, all of which should, in a just world, leave Brand with the presumption of innocence unless found guilty in a court of law.

TRUTH LIVES on at https://sgtreport.tv/

After all, Brand has vehemently denied these allegations, insisting that anything that happened between him and anyone else has always been consensual.

Like all conservatives nowadays, his worldview is enough to mark him for deplatforming and demonetization by most social media and video platforms, without a shred of evidence proving the allegations against him.

YouTube instantly demonetized him for “off-platform behavior,” violating YouTube policy.

As longtime ANP readers know, YouTube, owned by Google, demonetized ANP as well because we did not conform our videos the official liberal narrative, nor do we abide by the “consensus” of “authoritative” opinion, which has been wrong about just about everything from Covid mandates, to school closures, to climate change hysteria.

These were the same reasons given to us from Google when they demonetized All News PipeLine, sending us into a never-ending circle of stress as to how we would pay our bills.

In other words, do not report on election fraud, do not show 50 years of failed climate change predictions, and never dare questions vaccine mandates, mask mandates or economically devastating lockdowns, and then we will let you make a living.

The message is clear…comply or we’ll bankrupt you.

We put everything we had into ANP, and before the 2016 election, things were going wonderfully, we never had a donation pitch or page, we didn’t even offer our Paypal for donationsunless someone emailed us to ask for it.

2016 changed everything. Independent Media collectively bypassed the “Hillary Clinton” media and help save the country from the Hildabeast, and for the last 6 years, they have turned us into paupers for our dedication to truth and asking the questions the powers that be don’t want asked, reporting on issues the media won’t, and refusing to comply by only reporting the liberal approved narrative.

Now each donation goes towards catching up on bills, paying rent, utilities and the cheapest food we can find at the grocery store, and then the cycle begins again.

As for Russel Brand, only one video platform has stood up for due process and free speech and ability to earn a living from his podcasts.

Rumble.

In fact to show how prevalent and entitled the censorship regime is, the UK tried to get Rumble to demonetize Brand over the allegations he is facing.  Once again, simply allegations, no proof, no trial, just accusations.

….On Wednesday, Member of Parliament Caroline Dinenage sent Rumble CEO Chris Pavloski a letter on behalf of the House of Commons’ Culture, Media and Sport Committee expressing concerns the popular host might profit from his work, which is enjoyed by his 1.4 million followers on the site. Rumble shared the letter on social media and rejected Dineage outright, accusing her and the British government of attempting to cancel the 48-year-old for what are now only allegations. In her letter, the lawmaker had asked for Brand to be blacklisted by advertisers. “While we recognise that Rumble is not the creator of the content published by sir Brand, we are concerned that he may be able to profit from his content on the platform,” she said.

“We would be grateful if you could confirm whether Mr Brand is able to monetize his content, including his videos relating to the serious accusations against him,” Dineage wrote. “We would also like to know what Rumble is doing to ensure that creators are not able to use the platform to undermine the welfare of victims of inappropriate and potentially illegal behaviour,” she said. In its response, Rumble made it clear that the platform would take no action against Brand and doubled down on its principles as a place for the free exchange of ideas. “Today we received an extremely disturbing letter from a committee chair in the UK Parliament,” Rumble said in a statement. “While Rumble obviously deplores sexual assault, rape, and all serious crimes, and believes that both alleged victims and the accused are entitled to a full and serious investigation, it is vital to note that recent allegations against Russell Brand have nothing to do with content on Rumble’s platform,” the company said. Rumble said it would not follow YouTube in demonetizing Brand. “We have devoted ourselves to the vital cause of defending a free internet — meaning an internet where no one arbitrarily dictates which ideas can or cannot be heard, or which citizens may or may not be entitled to a platform,” it said. The company went on to call the request to demonetize Brand “inappropriate” and connected the letter to an attempt to make Rumble take part in a “cancel culture mob.”

Both letters can be read at this link.
