Broadly speaking, Americans are more likely to give public schools a poor rating. Only 10% rate the performance of public schools in the country as excellent, whereas 21% of voters say they’re doing a good job. 31% gave public schools a fair rating, and 35% gave public schools a poor rating. Democrats view public schools more positively than other Americans. 51% of Democrats gave public schools a good or excellent rating, but that sentiment is only shared by 23% of Republican voters and 21% of independent voters. 44% of Republican voters, 23% of Democrat voters and 38% of independent voters gave public schools a poor rating.
44% of Democratic voters, 19% of Republican voters, and 29% of independent voters believe most high school graduates have the necessary skills to participate in college.
31% of white voters, 36% of black voters, and 28% of other non-black minority voters believe most high school graduates possess the skills needed to participate in the workforce.
Although 53% of Americans making over $200,000 believe public schools are doing a good or excellent job, only 27% of individuals making between $30,000 and $50,000 annually agree with that view.
Americans should not trust the public education system. It’s a system of mass indoctrination that’s not designed to educate or provide the tools for our youth to succeed in the workplace. At best, public schools create loyal automatons to the state and pliable units for corporations.
This entire system needs to be flushed down the toilet if we want to have a society filled with productive individuals who will bequeath a more prosperous civilization to future generations.
