China won. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) called the Biden administration’s bluff by successfully flying an unmanned spy balloon across the continental United States unharmed for days. Once China got the data it wanted and demonstrated to the world that the United States allowed its’ airspace to be invaded, it was finally shot down by our military.
Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, Chairman of the Joint Chief of Staff Mark Milley, and the Biden Administration seemed to have been caught off guard by China’s bold move. They were completely out of their league on how to handle the situation.

China claimed the spy balloon was a civilian weather balloon that entered US air space errantly. They could have gotten away with that narrative. After all, some reports say the Administration wanted to keep the story from the American public, hence their delayed response and action to take it out. But it was rather difficult to hide a huge balloon the size of three buses flying in our airspace.
This was a very calculated move by the CCP, to enter our sovereign airspace. There are international treaties against this type of unprovoked maneuvering.
With the balloon being shot down, the CCP stated that it reserved the right to further action. A possible translation of that message: they view Resident Biden as being weak. They have sized him up and decided the old man would do nothing to stop or hinder them now or in the future. Watch out, Taiwan.
Two years ago, under the Trump Administration, it would have never been imagined that the CCP would openly travel across time zones and enter our sovereign air space and spy. However, under the woke and weak Biden Administration, anything is possible for our enemies, and there are no consequences. In the same way, there have been no adverse consequences to China for COVID or illegals crossing the border.
