Parler, the pro-free speech social media platform that was targeted by federal agents, is making its return and is now fueled by the crypto blockchain to enhance its security and ability to protect speech.

“We’re not just rebuilding Parler. We’re redefining what social media can and should be,” said Yasser Elgebaly, Chair of Parler. “No more surveillance, no more secret algorithms controlling what you see, and no more exploitation of user data without consent. This is the future of social media—transparent, user-owned, and financially empowering.”

In addition to allowing users to own their own data, the new and improved version of Parler lets users earn money from posting on the platform. Parler will be working with the OPT token, a new cryptocurrency recently launched on XT.com.

“The listing of OPT on XT.com, combined with the launch of Edgecast Cloud, marks the next evolution of blockchain and AI,” said Bryan Ferre, co-creator of the OPT token. “We are giving users control over their data, their digital assets, and their financial future.”

“It is time to rewrite the code of the attention economy. A new model where individual users experience true freedom—free to express themselves—without being surveilled and monetized. Parler is just the beginning. By integrating a new decentralized model—users are the primary beneficiary of their attention,” Ferre added.

Big League Politics reported on how the federal government cracked down on Parler after Jan. 6 when the free speech platform was blamed for the federally-incited violence that happened on that day:

“House Democrats are calling on the Biden administration to investigate the social media provider Parler for its supposed role in fomenting the Jan. 6 Capitol siege as well as the company’s possible Russian ties.

Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-NY), who is Chair of the House Oversight Committee, released a letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray demanding investigations into Parler, as the Democrats prepare unconstitutional overreach against their political opposition on the first day of the Biden regime.

“Numerous Parler users have been arrested and charged with threatening violence against elected officials or for their role in participating directly in the January 6 attacks,” Maloney wrote.

Additionally, Democrats are seizing upon the fact that Parler CEO John Matze’s wife is Russian to spread more Russian collusion conspiracy theories.”
