Last week I had to eat some crow regarding the JFK assassination documents release. You’ll recall that I was rather skeptical that the release would contain much that was very new or interesting, and able to develop the assassination in ways that researchers themselves have not. I did not think we would find any new smoking guns beyond the culprits that the researchers who have challenged the official narrative have not already ferreted out. My reasons for holding this view were firstly that (1) this government lies, and (2) that it cannot therefore be trusted when it says that all the documents have been released (and not shredded or otherwise disposed of). Notwithstanding this, such corruption always spawns something else: incompetence, and “the thing that slips through”, and it is regarding “the thing that slips through” that I’m going to have to eat more crow this week.

In this case, however, the dish is at least well-prepared and somewhat savory due to the high octane speculative implications it contains. This interesting story about representative Anna Paulina Luna and her accusations regarding the JFK assassination was shared by V.T., with our thanks for bringing it to our attention:
Here, in a nutshell, is what Congresswoman Luna said to Mr. Watters, and there’s no other way to characterize this than as a bombshell of a whopper doozie (and, “Enjoy your crow, Joseph”):
Anna Paulina Luna:
“I would like to actually tell the American people it was made aware to me this evening that NBC actually has a video that’s never been seen before.We’re actually going to be sending a letter requesting that from NBC because it allegedly shows Oswald near the vehicle when the assassination took place, which means that he couldn’t have been the shooter.
So again, we’re tracking down all this information. But look, there’s even a CIA document that came out that Mr. Morley pointed out that actually said that the CIA never bought the lone gunman theory.
And so I think the American people had an inclination as to what we are saying, but we never had the hard evidence until now. It’s important to note that in a free and fair society, how could you operate or have an agency operating in the shadows?

“You’re saying NBC has been keeping this tape of Oswald under wraps?”Anna Paulina Luna:
“Correct. In fact, Director Stone actually told us that he showed this tape, that it was a secondary copy, and that he said that this could blow open the entire JFK investigation.What I will also tell you, though, Jessie, is he said that NBC has been very, very much so guarding this tape. I believe that that tape belongs to the American people.
We are going to be sending a letter asking for that tape, and I would encourage everyone to ask NBC to release that tape to the public. It’s important not just for our investigations, but so the American people know the truth as to what happened with John F. Kennedy. All right.”
Now what I think is intriguing here is actually two-fold, the first concerns the assertion that the video exists in the possession of NBC news, and the second that it shows Oswald apparently near the limousine, and not on any floor of the schoolbook depository. Let’s deal with Oswald first: we already know of the photograph of someone near the main entrance of the School Book Depository that looks very much like Oswald. The Warren Report – as I outlined in my book LBJ and the Conspiracy to Kill Kennedy – maintained that the picture showed Billy Lovelady. but the point here is not that it was or was not Oswald, but rather, than many people looking like Oswald hover in several scenes of the JFK narrative. There was clearly an effort to create Oswald appearances before and during the assassination, and this “multiple Oswald” phenomenon is an obvious display of intelligence activity. That a video might exist that shows Oswald where he should not be is not so surprising given this multiple Oswald phenomenon.
Which brings us to the video itself and its implications, and, herewith, my daily leap off the end of the high octane speculation twig. For the sake of speculation, I’m going to ignore the possibility that someone is playing a joke on the Congresswoman, and assume for the sake of speculation that the story is genuine. If so, then there is something going on here, for clearly Congresswoman Luna was “made aware” of the existence of the video, and one must assume that she had enough time either to vet the source of this information before announcing to the world the existence of the video, or she had enough confidence and knowledge of the source or sources disclosing this information to her that she felt comfortable enough to make the announcement. Either way, this implies that her source or sources had intimate knowledge of the JFK documents release and what was not contained in them, and had sufficient knowledge of NBC News’ archives, that the information probably comes from someone either highly placed in that news organization, or that they knew someone in that position.
I think the reader gets my point: if true, then this information is coming not from the government per se, but rather, from the news media which covered (and now, apparently, covered up) the event and helped to create the Oswald/lone nut narrative. And that fact alone indicates that the whole thing was a conspiracy, and moreover, an inside job conspiracy at that, both in its execution and cover-up aftermath.
