from The National Pulse:
Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Walz allocated state funds to a nonprofit that distributes controversial “booty bumping” or “boofing” drug-use kits. As Governor of Minnesota, Kamala Harris’s running mate announced a $100 million initiative on May 14 to support services for the homeless, including funding for Southside Harm Reduction Services in Minneapolis. The nonprofit’s kits allow drug abusers to ingest substances through their rectums.
Since 2020, Southside Harm Reduction Services has received $3.1 million from Walz’s administration, with $432,000 awarded in 2023 alone. A law signed by Walz in May 2023 legalized the distribution of drug paraphernalia by nonprofits, enabling programs like Southside’s to expand their offerings.

The so-called harm reduction movement, championed by Walz, aims to mitigate drug-related risks, providing users with access to supplies for abusing drugs like heroin, methamphetamine, and fentanyl. The nonprofit recommends putting drugs in the rectum to “reach a high faster than some other routes of administration,” advising abusers, “Try to poop before… so your drugs are absorbed better.”
The Biden-Harris government has also funded similar harm-reduction initiatives. Since 2021, $354,663 has been allocated to HIPS, a nonprofit in Washington, D.C., for vending machines stocked with drug paraphernalia, including booty bumping kits.
