Days before the most crucial election since Abe won in 1860

Someone recently asked Donald J. Trump about America’s enemies and, as the 47th President, how he would settle the current wars in Israel and Ukraine. To paraphrase Trump’s answer, he said he was just as concerned about America’s domestic enemies as those abroad, perhaps even more so.

The recent attempts to assassinate Former President Trump, who is the current Republican candidate for a return to the White House, are classic examples of murderous treachery to capitate the political leader of a major political party and likely future President. But Trump isn’t just another Republican running for the Presidency. Unquestionably, he’s the only possible candidate to recognize and stop cold the evil practices of the Democratic Party’s so-called radical progressive wing, better known as its Marxist-Socialists.

Mr. Trump was wise in expressing his concern that perhaps his, and indeed our domestic enemies, likely pose a more severe threat to the nation than any foreign nation. The idea that internal enemies seriously threaten any government is hardly new. For example, a Roman statesman, Marcus Tullius Cicero (better known as “Cicero”), spoke the following words in 42 BCE before the Roman Senate.

“A nation can survive its fools and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive Treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the Traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself.” –  Marcus Tullius Cicero (106–43 BCE)

Trump received more votes for President in the 2020 election than any other Republican presidential candidate ever. Yet, he somehow lost to a glory-hungry Joe Biden, and let’s not forget Biden’s vapid VP, Kamala Harris. Nonetheless, many believe Trump didn’t lose that election. Instead, it was stolen by a ruthless Democratic Party machine that manipulated votes in crucial state precincts to eke out a flawed victory at best.

Whether Biden and Harris stole that election or won it fairly, the results of their four years in charge of the nation and our foreign policy are proving to be nothing short of a disaster, if not just that.

Taking Marcus Tullius Cicero at his word, “A nation can survive its fools and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive Treason from within,” the question remains, “Who qualifies as America’s Traitor within?”
