In a recent statement, Logan raised the alarm over the potential for Chinese land acquisitions to be used as a base for military or surveillance operations. According to her findings, Chinese entities, backed by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), have purchased thousands of acres of farmland near crucial U.S. military installations, sparking concerns about possible espionage or military staging areas.
“If you were the CCP and you were engaged in unrestricted warfare against the U.S. without firing a single shot, wouldn’t you take advantage of the land near U.S. Air Force bases?” Logan asked. She pointed to the proximity of these lands to high-security areas, suggesting that they could be used to stage forces or set up infrastructure for intelligence-gathering activities.
