We’re drowning in the news; none of it is very good. However, no matter how much or how bad it is, we must occasionally stop and reflect on the causes behind the torrent of depressing, divisive daily news programming. If we don’t, the evil and ugly stories fueling news events will continue and likely worsen. And as of now, the news shows we remain a nation at each other’s throats.
Kamala Harris, who has yet to win one primary election vote, is nevertheless set to be the first Black Woman and first person of Indian descent to be nominated for national office by a major party. In short, Kamala Harris could be the first Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion President.

I showed this statement to my grocer and asked, “Since the nation was about to elect the First Black Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Woman for President, could I please have a 20% discount on my entire grocery purchase today.”
My friendly grocery store, where I’ve been purchasing our sustenance for 12 years, raised his eyebrows and said, “No, Hell No,” and that I should prepare to pay 20% more if crazy Kamala wins the election.
I chuckled at this and jokingly said, “You’re probably right.”
He said, “You know I’m right!”
I said, “I know. I am just as worried as most everybody else is.”
He said, “I hope you’re voting for Trump?”
I declared, “Yes, I am. It will be my third time voting for Trump.”
He retorted, “Get everyone you know to vote Trump. I’m not joking. We have to stop these socialist idiots now before this crap goes any farther.”
I smiled at him, then wheeled my shopping cart down the next aisle and thought he was right about being right. Maybe I should have asked for a 10% discount instead of 20%.
The Harris-Biden team has been “fiscal pyromaniacs” these past four years! Everywhere you look, life is increasingly “unaffordable.” Increasing food prices are beginning to make food appear as a luxury item. This inflation will drive those of us who do the family shopping nuts!
Okay, I’ll admit, the monthly increase in food inflation is not rising at the same hellacious rates it was, but prices haven’t declined. Ask any shopper if prices at the stores are still increasing at rates higher than the government claims, and be prepared to have them talk your ear off or look at you as if you’re Rip Van Winkle crazy.
Kamala Harris, a Black Woman of bi-racial parentage, has acknowledged prices are high, but she’s yet to give any urgency to this daily economic calamity. Yes, I quietly say, who cares whether Kamala Harris is the first Martian or Black Woman or a Joe Biden D.E.I. selection to run for the Presidency? Believe me, after 74 years here on earth, I can say with absolute certainty that the color of Kamala’s skin, her female chromosomes, or her D.E.I. status will not affect food prices, my opinion about the Democrats’ management of the economy, or anything else.
Kamala Harris is a dangerously unserious person who finds something in all things serious to cackle and cackle and cackle uncontrollably out loud about, leaving those close to her in bewilderment.
