Gaslighting. It’s a term that’s become increasingly familiar in recent years, yet its effects on our society have never been more pervasive or damaging. Derived from the 1938 play Gas Light, the term refers to a form of psychological manipulation where the manipulator seeks to make someone doubt their reality. In today’s America, gaslighting has become a preferred tactic for the Democrat Party and their allies in the mainstream media. They aim to distort the truth, rewrite history, and undermine the confidence of the American people. This manipulation is not only dishonest but dangerous, eroding trust in our institutions and leaving our nation vulnerable to unchecked power.

To truly understand how Democrats and the mainstream media are gaslighting America, we must first grasp the essence of gaslighting itself. In its most basic form, gaslighting is about controlling the narrative. It involves denying the facts, downplaying the truth, and relentlessly pushing a false or misleading version of events until the audience begins to question their perception of reality. The goal is simple: to confuse and manipulate the public into accepting a distorted version of reality.
The Media’s Role in Gaslighting Biden’s Decline
One of the most glaring examples of gaslighting is the media’s handling of President Biden’s obvious and increasingly concerning cognitive decline. For months, the American public has witnessed a president who struggles to complete sentences, loses track of his thoughts, and appears confused during public appearances. Yet, rather than report on these alarming signs, the mainstream media has largely chosen to ignore them or, worse, spin them as evidence of Biden’s endurance and capability.
In June 2024, The National Review published an article titled “The Media’s Gaslighting on Biden’s Decline is This Election’s Laptop Cover-Up,” highlighting the media’s concerted effort to shield Biden from scrutiny. This is not just a matter of biased reporting; it’s a deliberate attempt to deceive the American people into believing that there is nothing wrong with Biden’s mental fitness. The media’s refusal to acknowledge Biden’s decline is a form of gaslighting that mirrors the infamous Hunter Biden laptop story, where the press downplayed or outright dismissed evidence of corruption until it could no longer be ignored.
