Will Donald Trump pull off an upset in November?

With the 2024 presidential election quickly approaching, Pennsylvania is a state that many political experts believe will determine the outcome of this election.

And for good reason. Putting things in perspective, incumbent president Joe Biden won Pennsylvania by barely over one percentage point (50% to 48.8%) during the 2020 presidential election.

With Joe Biden, stepping down from his re-election campaign Kamala Harris is now going to be tasked with trying to win the Keystone State. And from the looks of it, she will have a tall order in front of her.

Republicans are making gains in the state due to multiple ballot chasing efforts being organized by The Pennsylvania Chase founder Cliff Maloney.

Back on July 8, 2024, Maloney noted that the Democratic party’s registration advantage had fallen by half since 2020.

He highlighted the following the following in a post on the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter:

“CHRISTMAS CAME EARLY!

New Pennsylvania voter registration numbers hit today…

Democrats have seen their party registration edge in PA cut in HALF since 2020.

November 2020: Dems +813,885

November 2021: Dems +605,188

November 2022: Dems +549,568

November 2023: Dems +446,566

Today: Dems +371,280

TIME TO WIN!

As of June 24, 28,382 Democrats changed their party affiliation to Republican, while only 9,846 Republicans have switched their party affiliation to the Democrats.

Democrats seem to be energized by Harris’s entry into the race. That said, Maloney recently observed that Republicans are continuing to make major gains in registering Republican voters. In a tweet that he posted on July 29, Maloney said the following

“Democrats are all patting themselves on the back for FINALLY “gaining” registered voters in Pennsylvania for the first time in months.

But Republicans STILL gained more.

Change in PA voters since Biden dropped out:

Dems + 5,227

GOP + 6,654”
