If you vote for Donald Trump, you are a racist and white supremacist.” That was the accusation leveled by a leftist against a person who plans to vote for the previous President this fall. The accused responded with a denial and made this request: “On what basis do you make that accusation?” The leftist simply repeated herself – “You are a white supremacist if you vote for Trump.” Applying the accuser’s “logic,” the accused said, “If you vote for Joe Biden, you are a pedophile.” “I am not!” was the reaction, followed by, “You have no evidence to prove that!” Logic? There is none.

Why does the left rage? Why is there such vitriol in them? Why is it virtually impossible to have a serious, rational debate with a leftist? You saw it in Joe Biden in the few lucid moments he had in his recent debate with Donald Trump. Even if Biden’s mind were still operative, which it is not, he would only mouth the non-reason “arguments” of his puppeteers.
What is wrong with these people? Why is it that when we ask them, “Why do you hate Donald Trump,” or “Why do you have such rage against the Supreme Court justices,” or “Why do you spew such hatred toward me if I reject the notion that there is no gender in human beings?” they only rage even more without giving a reasoned response? The reason is gone. Logic does not matter. The biological facts of X and Y chromosomes meet with a flurry of pronouns accompanied by threats and rage. Why? What is wrong with these people?
I can tell you. They are driven by feelings, not facts. By their emotions rather than by their reasoning. They hate because they hate. They rage because they feel rage. Mind is pushed aside by emotion. In itself, that would not necessarily be so destructive. A mother’s love for her baby may often dominate over some point of logic. Feelings and emotions are certainly noble things instilled in us by God. But – something is terribly wrong with this emotion when it becomes mindless, divorced from rationality, and rages against reality. Something is broken in these folks – their sensibilities are not operating properly. Let’s think about this further.
Human beings are complex in mind, emotion, and spirit. These elements are meant to function cooperatively. Mind and emotion are to be a team. When you “lose your temper” and launch hurtful word missiles against someone, you later repent of it if you are an emotionally healthy person. You admit that your words were unfounded. You “lost it,” and logic tells you that your anger was unfounded and the hurt you launched was undeserved. All of us have been guilty of these things. Feelings are divorced from rationality, and emotions function apart from our minds, so they do not take us down a healthy path.
