Could the assassination attempt be the work of people within our own government?

Many are assuming that the shooter was a leftist ideologue radicalized by rhetoric. It’s not an unreasonable assumption, given the hateful vitriol directed at President Trump and the ever-increasing desperation with which it is delivered. Too, the leftists speak and think with insect-like conformity across many party-controlled platforms.

The consistent message all on the left have been delivering is that a second Trump term represents the end of all things (democracy) and must be prevented at all costs.

So it is not unreasonable to assume an ideologue might be driven to violence by hearing the people on whom he depends for thought intensify their demand for “stopping Trump.”

But I don’t believe that an attempt to kill would be left to chance by counting on a random, radicalized wing-nut even though that outcome, if ‘deliverable,’ would give the instigators plausible deniability.

These people are control freaks, we must remember.

No. I believe that the would-be assassin planners positioned themselves within the Secret Service detail and those to whom the agents report.

Consider the following:

The rooftop position assumed by the shooter was clearly visible both in prior sweeps and to the drones aloft before and during the event. This rooftop was even visible to rally attendees, at least two of whom reported seeing an armed man ‘bear-crawling’ on that roof even from the ground. Alerts from these concerned attendees did not provoke action to protect Trump.

In order for this assassination attempt to be made:

(1)  The shooter had to gain access, during broad daylight, to a position on an adjacent rooftop in direct line-of-sight to the stage. This position is visible to both the drones and to at least some spectators.

(2)  Although spotted even from the ground by attendees who alerted LEOs, no action was taken to move President Trump from the stage before the shooter got his rounds off.

(3)  The shooter, who was apparently invisible to the Secret Service and other law enforcement officers, was killed within seconds of getting his own shots off. There is, therefore, no chance of learning precisely how this armed man managed to take this position despite intense “security.”

This assassination attempt was very likely the work of people within our own government.

Given the already-obvious facts, this line of investigation must be immediately pursued. Those with the power to pull this off clearly have the power to obfuscate, stonewall, and otherwise prevent exposure.

Yet, the rational observation that yielding an obvious sniper’s perch to an assassin, one easily visible to the Secret Service by both ground and by drone, likely required some inside cooperation is already being dismissed as a tin-hat conspiracy theory.

The label ‘conspiracy theory’ has been abused as a pejorative by the Left to dissuade people from connecting obvious dots.

“Don’t infer anything from these events…wait for our experts to tell you what they mean.”
