ANOTHER UPDATE: I have given this rifle pic a whole lot more thinking, and as I posted earlier, it's now clear that Crooks had mounted both a front and rear sight in a 90-degree off-axis configuration, which would have allowed him to lay the rifle on its left side and still fire… pic.twitter.com/QQKniF0Qj3
