The greatest surprise in Thursday night’s debate between former President Trump and soon-to-be former President Biden was that Biden was actually able to see it through to the end without a complete word-salad sentence followed by an unintelligible moment of mumbling and shaking some invisible person’s hand as he walks off stage mid-sentence. This is not at all saying that any of his answers were factual morsels of truth, as they were not.

Also, the moderators were clearly watching for this, saving him from going too deep into the rabbit hole several times. Often, just as Biden was starting to verbally wander up to the salad bar, they stated loudly, “Thank you,” and cut him off. One time, Trump even quipped – I didn’t understand a word he (Biden) just said.” And the moderators never went back at Biden to quote him, point out the inconsistencies of his recollections and that of reality, or ask him for any facts to back up his claims. Nevertheless, Biden was able to make it through alive.
Thus, though his expression throughout the evening was mainly of a foggy, lost, glazed mannequin delivering pre-rehearsed answers like a doll with a string out his back, the biggest predicted entertainment value of the debate – watching for Joe’s word-salad incoherent mumblings – didn’t meet the hype. Trump, in the meantime, didn’t take charge as he could have, but also didn’t let the fake news CNN people take advantage of him either.
The fact that the Republican leadership would even allow the first national televised debate to be through CNN is evidence that the deep state is still running the Republican Party, too, and has no intention of letting Americans see Trump back in the White House.
Americans should be asking today, what drug did Biden’s handlers have him on? How was he able to stay somewhat awake for so long? It begs the question ⏤ if his son had supplied Biden with a little pick-me-up for the evening.
One has to give credit to Biden’s handlers, though. Knowing he couldn’t win an actual argument of facts, they clearly prepared him to avoid facts. Most of Biden’s debate tactics were very simple and straightforward — make up some lies and then simply call Trump the liar.
Avoiding facts makes it hard to be called on fake facts the next day. In many ways, it was like watching an arrogant old man debate a first-grader of the fifties (or a woke freshman college student of today).
Mr. Trump clearly missed several open opportunities to lay out the facts of so many things now going so wrong in America under Biden and his handlers. Mr. Trump finally pointed out a few facts around January 6th, including how Nancy Pelosi was recently seen on social media admitting her guilt in it all. But never did Trump blame the deep state — the people who placed all the government informants and inciters into the crowd that day.
Outside of that, he never used actual numbers to make his point — such as how many illegals came across during his time in office vs. Biden’s, or the actual minority unemployment figures, how much a gallon of gas or a dozen eggs now costs, or how interest rates, etc. have skyrocketed since Biden took office.
It appeared that Mr. Trump was not prepared to bring with him to the debate a particular message he wished to get across to America. The way the moderators ran it, and with how plastic and mechanical Biden was, Mr. Trump could have taken control of the debate and pressed Biden for facts, which all of America knows Biden would not have had in his noggin and would have likely kicked Biden’s computer into overload and back off to the salad bar… which is what most people tuned in to see anyway — American entertainment at its best.
