These days the American dream of owning their own home is beyond the reach of many young people, mainly due to the crushing burden of excessive government, which has driven up interest rates and the cost of housing. Their problem is, they are going about it the wrong way. Instead of getting a job and working hard so they can afford a mortgage, they should quit their jobs, blow their money on fentanyl, and spend their time defecating on the sidewalk. That would earn them the reverence of the liberal establishment, which bestows extravagant privileges on those it adores — including luxury housing. It would be nice to think that at some point, the people who are effectively enslaved through taxation so as to pay for this will push back. But apparently it is too late for that to happen in California.
