Tom Cotton is being roundly condemned for encouraging people who are taken hostage by zealots on highways and bridges to act in their own defense.
Apparently, anti-American operatives have a right to close key roads and bridges to literally capture an audience for the venting of their hatred. Those victimized by such acts must apparently take care to ensure that open hostility is met with sufficient civility to make the infringement of others’ safety, access to emergency services, and freedom of movement safe for the aggressors.

Few things in the universe are as predictable and consistent as the demand from the Marxist Left for tolerance of criminal aggression. As we so clearly saw in 2020, the Marxist Left takes the part of rioters and arsonists over homeowners and shop-owners whose homes and livelihoods were destroyed by “protests” they called “mostly peaceful.” They continue to take the part of violent assailants over rape and assault victims in demanding “no-cash bail” for career criminals. They take the part of thieves over the retailers who are forced to close stores because theft has been essentially legalized in Marxist-run jurisdictions.
Marxist ideologues consistently call for restraint on the part of the victims of evil. They demand that any efforts to prevent the destruction of property, the willful collapse of livelihood, or the ravage of innocents “must be proportional” (meaning insufficient to the defense of order and the rights of others). We have watched as the defensive actions taken by people whose homes, families, and businesses are attacked by lawless savages are judged against this senseless yardstick of “proportionality.”
The Marxists know full well that such attacks can neither be deterred nor repelled without force sufficient to instill genuine fear in the minds of would-be attackers. That’s why they seek to disable such effective responses with the preemptive threat of criminal prosecution.
It should not be surprising, then, that such people demand bovine passivity from a nation victimized by enraged zealots. Marxists apply the same disabling yardstick used in their assessment of domestic lawlessness to their views on international policy. They demand that the tiny nation of Israel, victimized by the bloodiest terrorist attack on civilians since the Holocaust, respond in a way that utterly fails to repel the present hostility or deter future attacks.
Keep in mind that the Hamas terrorists didn’t target military, police, or even government installations on Oct 7th, 2023. That attack would have faced armed defense. Instead of addressing those responsible for the “crimes” they allege, these cowardly dogs broke into civilian homes, raped, beat, tortured, and captured unarmed women, children, the elderly, and the infirm.

This is the type of soul-crushing evil relished by the Global Marxist Left. It demoralizes and polarizes the population, weakens national resolve, and thereby undermines the stability of targeted nations, “softening” them in preparation for regime change that favors Global Marxist rule. Although Islamists seek a global caliphate, the tactics they deploy in pursuit of political, social, and economic collapse within targeted nations clearly serve the purposes of the Global Marxist agenda as well. Naturally, then, those aligned with the Global Marxist agenda (and these ideologues now pervade every level of every Western nation, including our own) demand that Israel’s response to Hamas’s terrorism comport to “international standards of proportionality.” Note that no such demands are ever made of the aggressors – only the victims.
The goal of such lopsided demands should now be obvious: to prevent effective deterrence of terrorist attacks and, in fact, to encourage attacks on civilian neighborhoods as a means to civilizational collapse.
The seizure, on April 15th, of the Brooklyn Bridge by people claiming allegiance to a foreign terrorist entity and openly calling for the death of our own nation represents a significant escalation in the Global Marxists’ war on America. Not only did the seizure disable a major artery, effectively detaining thousands of people and endangering tens of thousands more, but unlike any previous “political protest” demanding policy changes, this mob overtly calls for the death of our nation.

We may reasonably suspect that previous events were driven by the agenda to destroy Western Nations and replace their sovereign governments with a global regime. But about this event, there can no longer be any doubt.
The mob of terrorist sympathizers deployed to flex the Hamas muscle using a strategic and symbolic target in NYC on 4-15-2024 openly seeks the destruction of both Israel and America.
