Israel’s foreign minister, Eli Cohen, said at a press conference in Geneva Tuesday, that United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres is not fit to lead the global body, citing Guterres’ failure to condemn Hamas for its brutal terrorist attacks on Israeli civilians. Guterres, heading up an organization in the grip of Marxist ideology, elitism, and unrelenting power-lust, can be expected to do precisely what he is doing; pretending to condemn barbaric acts that purposely and exclusively target civilians while at the same time presenting Israel’s military response as its moral equivalent.

So, Eli Cohen is correct, of course. But left unsaid is this:
There is no “fit leader” of a governmental body to which the entire world should yield. Such a body will consistently side with those wielding the greatest influence over its leadership. The UN problem must not be framed as a failing of moral leadership because morality cannot be expected of anybody into whose hands is entrusted unaccountable power.
In the fall of 2006, the Heritage Foundation published a report entitled, “The Decline and Fall of the UN; Why it Failed and How it Can be Reformed.” The report cited the uncontested failure of the UN to achieve its stated purpose – to broker peaceful resolutions to conflicts, coordinate humanitarian efforts, and promote world peace.
Despite the obvious ineffectiveness of a global body to achieve such goals, the UN had become, even then, increasingly intrusive in the national and political affairs of the US and other member nations. Yet the Heritage Foundation’s piece held out hope that reform might overcome the failings that are inevitable when flawed human beings are entrusted with unaccountable power.
Sixteen years later, the corruption and ineffectiveness of the UN are yet more pronounced even as it expands its mission to encompass a non-existent global “climate crisis,” orchestrate an authoritarian centrally-controlled pandemic response, and through its Economic and Social Council, coerce the advancement of the Marxist-aligned Social Justice Agenda including DEI criteria for international economic participation.
Both its power and practical reach, especially via the WHO and in cooperation with the WEF, extend all the way to Mainstreet, USA. The current, Marxist administration here in the US is cheerleading this global aggregation of control and is doing its part to use the Federal administrative state to consolidate regulatory control that comports the Social Justice Agenda.
For instance, in pursuit of “equity” in internet access Joe Biden is pushing the FCC to adopt “a one-page section of the 2021 Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (Infrastructure Act),” which has “new rules of breathtaking scope, all in the name of ‘digital equity.’
For the first time ever, those rules would give the federal government a roving mandate to micromanage nearly every aspect of how the Internet functions — from how [internet service providers] allocate capital and where they build, to the services that consumers can purchase; from the profits that ISPs can realize and how they market and advertise services, to the discounts and promotions that consumers can receive. Talk about central planning,” warned FCC Commissioner, Brendan Carr in a statement released Monday, 11/13/23.
The Biden Regime is already well into the process of subjecting the US healthcare sector, immigration, agriculture, education, and “climate” policies to the UN through the United Nations World Health Organization’s “Pandemic Treaty” and International Health Regulations (IHR).
The UN was conceived with the best of intentions. But like many ideas hatched in a flush of well-meaning ambition, the idea of a global governing body failed – and continues to fail to accommodate the flawed and fallen nature of humankind itself.
Today the UN offers the Marxist Global-Control Agenda its most likely means for subjugating the whole of human society under the control of an entity that believes itself tasked with engineering social justice and the world climate.
Its ascension to World Government status is being promoted and facilitated by Leftists throughout the Western World and opposed only by meek and whispering voices. If that doesn’t frighten you, it should. The pursuit of abstracts by an entity wielding global control cannot do other than cause impoverishment and starvation for billions as well as economic and social collapse. We’re already seeing proof of this in every part of the country dominated by Marxist-aligned ideologues.
