by Geoffrey Grinder, Now The End Begins:

The USS Gerald R. Ford Carrier Strike Group arrives in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea in order to deter any actor seeking to escalate the situation or widen this war.

The U.S. Navy aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford is the most-elite aircraft carrier of its kind anywhere in the world, capable of eye-watering and overwhelming fighting force. If this was sent to defend Israel against Hamas, it would be an incredible waste of time, resources and money. But it was not sent to protect Israel against Hamas, it was sent to prevent WWIII from taking place.

Today is Day 6 of the Israel-Hamas War, with each new day brining astonishing and horrible revelations of biblical level of death and destruction taking place. Today it was confirmed that Hamas butchered 40 babies and killed hundreds more in the cribs. I cannot bring myself to write about that, I just can’t. But if you think things are bad now, and they are, just wait until the 300,000 troops Israel has standing by right now on the Gaza border begin the ground invasion. It will be at that point where the collective Israel-hating world will lose its collective hive mind. Sending the USS Gerald R. Ford was not just a good idea, it was a necessary one.

FROM US CENTRAL COMMAND: The forces in the area include the U.S. Navy aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78), with its 8 squadrons of attack and support aircraft, and the Ticonderoga class guided missile cruiser USS Normandy (CG 60), as well as the Arleigh Burke class guided missile destroyers USS Thomas Hudner (DDG 116), USS Ramage (DDG 61), USS Carney (DDG 64), and USS Roosevelt (DDG 80).

Efforts to increase U.S. posture continue, including the rapid movement into theater of U.S. Air Force F-15s, F-16s and A-10s to augment existing fighter squadrons in the region.

“The arrival of these highly capable forces to the region is a strong signal of deterrence should any actor hostile to Israel consider trying to take advantage of this situation,” said General Michael “Erik” Kurilla, commander, U.S. Central Command. READ MORE
