Lately I have been taking notice of the increase in stories of rage. Road rage, and air rage as countless examples of people seeming to lose their ever-loving minds while on an airplane, some forcing early landings to have people removed before continuing on to the original destination.

A couple of points before getting into the examples that appear to be getting worse.

First and foremost, traveling is nerve-wracking at times, whether it is the traffic, crazed drivers, or in the case of plane travel, getting to the airport on time, making it to your gate and then being cramped up next to people with barely any room to move.

TRUTH LIVES on at https://sgtreport.tv/

Traveling, whether by car or plane, can be stressful, we get that, which brings us to the next point.

Statistics show that unruly behavior on airplanes is soaring, far higher than pre-pandemic levels for those that might have thought it was the Covid restrictions that made people grumpier.

It isn’t.

• Statistics presented by the International Air Transport Association (IATA), a global association serving the airline sector, confirmed one in 568 flights experienced an untoward incident linked to a disagreeable passenger in 2022. This number is up from one in 835 flights in the previous year.

According to the Federal Aviation Administration, there are more than 16.4 million flights handled by the FA yearly.

More:

• According to the FAA’s data for the first half of the current year incidents have nearly doubled the pre-pandemic rate, even with its ‘zero tolerance’ policy for rowdy passengers.

• “We see a lot more angry passengers generally and that matches very much what the police services say they see in the wider population everywhere,” said Easa’s head of safety promotion, John Franklin, during a recent webinar.

The rise in stories about the airlines makes it easy to think it is only traveling that is becoming even more stressful, but that last sentence in bold and underlined by me, shows this rise in anger and rage, is happening throughout the nation.

Now, for a few freak-outs of epic proportions, all from the past two years.

We’ll begin with a man throwing a huge temper tantrum over a crying baby, as he yells, screams, says the baby should be cuffed, and cusses up a storm. (That is a language warning)
