2024 GOP frontrunner Donald Trump plead not guilty to all 37 federal charges brought against him by Biden’s DOJ alleging mishandling of classified documents.

In August, the DOJ employed the FBI to seize 11 boxes of documents from Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home, and then claimed that Trump was impeding their investigation. The DOJ did not permit Trump’s attorney to be present during the search and seizure.

Trump was arraigned on the 37 charges on Tuesday afternoon, which include 31 counts of willful retention of national defense information, one count of conspiracy to obstruct justice, one count of withholding a document or record, one count of corruptly concealing a document or record, one count of concealing a document in a federal investigation, one count of scheme to conceal, and one count of false statements and representations.

Ahead of his arraignment, Trump spoke out on Truth Social, calling Special Counsel Jack Smith a “corrupt thug,” adding in another post that there’s a two-tiered system of justice in the US.

“Will Deranged Jack Smith be looking at the thousands of pages of documents that Biden had in Chinatown then, when caught, quickly sent up to Boston? What about the 1,850 Boxes that Biden is fighting to keep secret,” Trump questioned on Truth Social. “How about Hillary’s 33,000 emails that she deleted and acid washed?”

The indictment, which resulted from a months-long investigation by Smith, alleges that Trump took documents that he was not authorized to retain when he left office, taking them to Mar-a-Lago and storing them in locations that were not authorized.

According to The Hill, Trump was accompanied by attorneys Todd Blanche and Christopher Kise in the court. Blanche is representing Trump in the New York case related to alleged payouts made to porn star Stormy Daniels and Kise previously represented Trump in the Mar-a-Lago probe. Blanche entered Trump’s not guilty plea on his behalf.
