The former acting CIA director has confirmed that the intelligence community knowingly lied in the lead-up to the 2020 presidential election about Hunter Biden’s laptop, claiming that the laptop was Russian disinformation in order to help Joe Biden win the presidency.
Former acting CIA Director Mike Morell made the admission while giving testimony to the House Judiciary Committee. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, who was working at the time as a senior campaign staffer for Biden, contacted Morell and prompted him to recruit intelligence community officials to commission an open letter claiming the laptop release was Russian disinformation.

Morell organized the coalition behind the letter because he wanted to “help Vice President Biden … to win the election.” Biden campaign chairman Steve Ricchetti would go on to thank Morell for doing the campaign’s bidding with the creation of the letter. Biden would reference the letter in an Oct. 2020 debate with Trump in an attempt to discredit the laptop story.
The House Republican Judiciary announced the news in a tweet:

“It is apparent that the Biden campaign played an active role in the origins of the public statement, which had the effect of helping to suppress the Hunter Biden story and preventing American citizens from making a fully informed decision during the 2020 presidential election,” House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan and House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Turner said in a statement about the news.

“Twitter took extraordinary steps to suppress the story, removing links and posting warnings that it may be “unsafe.” They even blocked its transmission via direct message, a tool hitherto reserved for extreme cases, e.g. child pornography,” Taibbi wrote.
Findings from Carl Szabo of the research firm, NetChoice, who met with both Republican and Democrat lawmakers in Washington D.C. after the Hunter Biden laptop story was published, show exactly how the Democrats are blatantly at war with freedom of speech and enforce Big Brother censorship with regulatory threats against private companies.
