by Tom Renz, Esq., America Outloud:
What is courage? Well, it is a trait that seems to be lacking these days in America, but I don’t think that should be a surprise to anyone. There has been a war on anything masculine or brave for a number of decades now, and it is having an impact. The values that have made America what it is are falling away, and courage is at the forefront of those lost values.
When we discuss what courage is, we have to understand that courage is not the absence of fear; rather, courage is the willingness to stand in the face of fear. Courage cannot exist absent fear, and so courage is an inherently difficult trait to demonstrate. It is only when we stand strong in the face of difficulties, the unknown, adversity, or pain that we show courage, and there is no better way for our enemies to ensure their victory over us than to convince us that courage is a negative trait. After all, if courage is a negative trait, then it would be better to do what is easy than what is right if our enemies challenge us directly, and that means surrender.
TRUTH LIVES on at https://sgtreport.tv/
I began thinking about courage today after posting a Twitter poll. The poll asked, “True or false: when I see someone still wearing a #mask, I immediately have an unsolicited internal feeling they are an “idiot”?” (find me on Twitter @RenzTom) I shared the poll on a number of other social media platforms, such as Truth Social (find me on Truth @TomRenz) as well. The results of the post were not substantially different than you would expect (well over 90% said True), but the comments are what I found interesting.
The comments on Twitter were largely about feeling sorry for “those people” and trying to understand them. On other platforms, particularly on Truth, there was simply open agreement that the people are idiots. I do not believe this is because the people responding on Truth felt differently than the people on Twitter. Rather, I think this stems from not wanting to appear harsh on Twitter.
As a person in the media, I understand this. In fact, in the interest of pretending I was not trying to influence the poll, I actually responded politely to a few people. That said, the important issue here is the question of courage. If you truly do believe (as some did) that faith dictates a less aggressive tone, then I respect that, and maybe you are right; however, if your reason for a moderate tone is because you are worried about getting “ripped on Twitter,” then that is cowardly. I don’t mean to be offensive here, but there is simply no other way to put it.
The COVID narrative is nearly 100% fraudulent, from death counts to PCR tests, to early treatment, to hospital protocols, to the death jabs. I do not believe a single person has not heard that the efficacy of masks has been disputed, and even someone that follows the mainstream can find out at this point that they are garbage with minimal effort. That said, we are now at the point where there is no excuse for continuing to support the narrative other than cowardice, and the narrative is still killing MANY people. It is time to stand, and part of that is using the same tactics that were used to push the narrative.
People such as myself were called murderers and monsters because we did not wear a mask or distance ourselves from our elderly loved ones. This was very hurtful to many people and an effective way of pushing the lie. At this point, I have no problem telling someone so stupid as to be wearing a mask outside that I think they are an idiot. Except in my work as a commentator, I will refrain from sharing my opinion if I’m not asked, but if I am asked, I am certainly not afraid to voice my thoughts directly and encourage others to do the same.
The left has made it easy to push lies. They have bought the media and censored people on social media, so if you want to be a Grumpy Greta Thunberg and push the climate change lie, you will be lauded. If you want to do what I do, however, you will have endless hit pieces come out on you and find yourself censored everywhere. This is where courage comes in and why it is so important.
Our freedom is worth fighting for. It is worth standing for and even worth dying for. Standing in the face of judgment and adversity is the very definition of courage, and I want to encourage all of my freedom-loving brothers and sisters to find their courage and stand against those that are promoting tyranny.
