The Ron Paul Institute recently threw shade at an assertion that a Iranian opposition figure is “leading” what the US Deep State is labeling as a “freedom” movement in Iran.
For context, Iran has witnessed wide-scale protests and protests over the death of an Iranian woman, Mahsa Amini, while she was detained in Tehran by Iranian morality police for failing to comply with hijab protocols was the incident that apparently sparked all of this unrest.

Iranian authorities claimed that Amini was not subjected to mistreatment by law enforcement.
In a Twitter post that RPI published on September 25, 2022, it called attention to the close relations Masih Alinejad — a political commentator for Voice of America (VOA) — has with neoconservative figures in American politics such as former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.
“Doesn’t it strike anyone as strange that the ‘leader’ of this ‘freedom’ movement in Iran is a US government employee and bosom buddy of the neocons? But hey, sure, it’s totally legit…,” RPI stated in its Twitter post.
The demonstrations and riots have received widespread praise across the Collective West. According to a Press TV report, these riots have turned “deadly” as “many Iranian cities have seen armed rioters beating and killing police officers, public works servants as well as ordinary civilians while vandalizing banks and other public and private properties.”
